Hello guys, I got a big problem and hope someone could guide me thru the process of locating and fixing my problem. Ok, it is a 22 mt10, I tried to change rear signals to small ones with brake light included in it. Accidently I left ign. on and got short, fuse 7.5 a melted for turn signal, I replace fuse all good. Suddenly my mode switch on the R. side doesn't let me select anymore mods, my brake light is always on and I got permanent power on yellow wire.
All fusses, brake light switches, battery fully charged, no short from taillight connector to relay. Disconnected battery, ecm, abs in hope to get mil and abs light cleared, no help. Is it any way I can check manually for stored codes? Any recommendation for bike scanner? Oh, I have to say as well, I removed the secondary air supply but let the connector plugged in. Thank you in advance for any help and advice. It might just need scan and clear the &*##%^@ codes??? I am melting my Braine and can not figure out what it is? Thx again

Thx again I unfortunately can't help much with the other issues you are having - But I can at least help with how you can scan the codes. I bought this adapter - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09GX4PVQ1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I bought this obd2 reader: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073XKQQQW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1You can use any OBD2 reader, it doesn't need to be this specific one. Good luck man, I hope this gets figured out!

Is everything okay if you put it all back to stock configuration?

I have put everything together and disconnected rear signals and brake connectors, fired up and my selector switch is letting me do basic stuff, checking temp, mileage etc. but doesn't let me go to settings at all. Now is everything in mode 1 with no abs and mil on. I can not imagine shorting turn signal wire that can damage ecu/abs unit in any way. Might go to shop and ask nicely if they would like to scan it and clear codes for 20/30 bucks and go from there.

Sometimes it fails and I'm not sure why. Also, my check engine light went off on its own after cycling the key and starting the bike around ~10ish times. I would recommend having this combo on hand, because the Obd2 scanner works for cars too. It's a great tool to have on hand in case anything funky happens with any of your vehicles.

Thank you buddy, I think when I insure it, just go to a dealer and see what is going to happened and go from there. I have obd 2 scanner for a car, do I need only adapter for 30 bucks and I could use my big car scanner for motorcycle??

AFAIK the OBD2 system is universal so a scanner for a car will read the MT provided you have the right adapter. I have a bluetooth adapter and IOS App and that works pretty well on the MT.
The brake light circuit appears to be considered important for the function of the bike. I know when I had a dodgy brake light switch (stuck on) that things like cruise control would not activate, and I know I can't change modes with the throttle open or the brake on, so it would not surprise me at all if your brake light misadventure is the root cause.
