Looking at buying a 2018 MT-10. Anything in particular I should be looking for? known Issues? Hints?
Only has one key but no immobilizer on the key makes that simple.
Bike has about 8k miles and looks to be in good shape.
Thanks in advance.

As far as known issues the only ones I can think of are a leaky oil pan gasket and leaky coolant tube o-rings behind the headers.

Another one is cracking headlights. Both my headlights had around 3 or 4 small hair-line cracks on the inside of the glass after like 2k miles... so I had the dealer replace the assembly. Expensive part to replace with no warranty. I saw a forum post on it with some people saying they had the issue. I think most, like mine, occurred early on in the bikes life

That's not really an issue though as far as I've seen. They crack but that's it. They don't fall apart or anything. Both of mine have been cracked for a couple years now and the cracks are coming from the inside not the outside.

Yeah I suppose its just an aesthetic issue, I don't think it would end up making the lights not work, it just looks trashy. Though I did see one that was entirely shattered on this forum- I personally would call that an issue. I guess someone could call it more of a perfectionists issue but I wasn't about to be ok with a bunch of cracks in my headlights on my brand new bike. Just saying for someone going to buy an MT, if there were enough large cracks in the lights I'd personally be wanting the seller to drop the price a bit so I could replace the assembly. Obviously not as important as a oil pan leak or coolant leak but still something to look at.
We will see if my new ones start to crack but I have put 5500 miles on the bike with them and nothing, so I can only assume there was some sort of defect with my original assembly. I figured it would have only gotten worse... Bogus that it can even happen though.

They're not getting worse though so there's that

Curious why Yamaha hasn't sourced better/more durable lights.
