When S22s tread dissapeared at 900miles for rear ( BALD edge to edge!)1500 for front I went to Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV I replaced the rear first and the rosso 4 was wonderful with the s22 front but now with the new front it seems a bit idk ... ponderous maybe? I looked up Pirelli pressures and I am astounded at how low they say it S/B? copy and paste into google this link but dont click on it ! idk why but it is differnt pages if you click rather than paste www.pirelli.com/tyres/en-ww/motorcycle/catalogue/product/diablo-superbike For example for the rear they are saying 23/26 cold? vs my manual saying 42 cold? and only 25/28 hot? The front recommended pressures are much more sane sounding 30/32 cold and 32/36 hot but still considerably less than manual's 36psi cold WTF?? I have been running these tires at 36f and 42r....maybe it is why the bike does not seem right since mounting the front...the OEM S22 looked like a knife blade at 1500miles! Was bald on sides lots of tread in center and it still felt good amazingly enough Tomorrow I am going to experiment with loser pressures just maybe not pirelli specs....comments? BTW I think the rosso is taller I read someone posting it as a 5mm taller in front...so I tried dropping the triples one notch....seems to be a bit better but not magic...that was not yet touching the tires pressure which was still at 36 f and 42 r both cold

The link you posted didn't work for me, at least on mobile but I can guess that you must be looking at a track tire or the pressures for track racing cause those are the temps I run my Pirelli slicks at on my track bike.
Although I'm not personally familiar with the Pirelli Rosso, I imagine based on my personal experience spending a lot of time testing tire pressures in the canyons, that any hot pressure under about 30 PSI is going to cause sidewall collapse and give you that flat tire feeling.
To absolutely stretch tires like the S2X or the Dunlop QX to absolute peak performance, I would usually run them around 31F/30R hot. For a less aggressive but still demanding ride, I'll run those as cold temps, mostly to save with tire wear.
When I 2 up or go out on night rides in the city, I will bump those pressures up over 36 PSI and even higher in the rear if I am 2 Up. Yup, when you burn through tires in 2-3k miles, you literally develop pressures for the different styles of riding you might do. Haha
36F/42R that I think the manual recommends, is certainly a little too high in the rear for my liking. But is absolutely acceptable when commuting or wanting to reduce tire wear and I have run those on straight line riding 2 Up and it is fine. But really, if you're going to do that, get a commuting tire. The stock tires are GREAT tires and my favorites on the street. But they are performance tires definitely and will wear down as such.

Mine S22 rear on MT-10 SP is almost flat from center at 8100 kms (~5000 miles) and i recently bought Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV for rear 190/55ZR17 (75W). Still need to install and test but i will be keeping my front tire stock S22 since its still good.. i was not able to source Bridgestone/Michelin locally and went for available Pirelli. I guess you are referring to Pirelli technical guide: tyre-assets.pirelli.com/document/global/961/1001/Pirelli-Motorcycle-Tyre-Guide-2023-4505532291843.pdf?_gl=1*1y2npt8*_gcl_au*Mzg5ODE4MjI2LjE3MDczMTExMTc. Page#65 mentions 2.9 bar tire pressure which is 42 psi for Diablo Rosso 190/55ZR17 (75W). Also page#67 of same manual mentions to ". Remember to check the inflation pressure of your tyres weekly. You will find the correct pressure in the operating manual of the motorcycle. Use PIRELLI’s information only as reference." Anyways, let us know your feedback on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV rear with S22 front...

The rosso 4 is going to be better for mileage but not the same performance. On another note I just picked up a new mt10 sp that I’m at 1300 miles on so far and the s22 are doing ok, the rear I’ve been running at a bit higher pressure (32F and 36R) for commuting to work a lot but they are a little rough looking from cornering but we do have some rough asphalt here in nor cal, I will be switch those out for the rosso 4 corsas when the s22 is gone, not the same profile or performance that I prefer
