I recently purchased my 17 fz10 earlier this year all stock besides aftermarket qs and as I’m just looking around the bike I notice the right side o2 sensor is disconnected, I couldn’t see but I’m assuming the other ones probably disconnected as well. Is there a reason for this? Bike has stock cat and the stubby oem exhaust from the newer mt’s and everything else is stock, so I’m wondering why the last owner did this and if I’m still good to ride? I’ve put about 500 miles on her this month and not a single issue so if anyone has any idea as to why let me know! And am I safe to plug it back in for when I eventually decat and flash the bike?

Unplugged and no CEL? It's likely to have been flashed already. 2WDW flashes require that the o2 sensors be disconnected on their flashes, according to them.

This, It's been flashed if the sensors are unplugged and there's no CEL. The question is by who? 2WDW offers free reflashing for updates (like when you decat eventually) but they don't put any stickers on the ECU or anything. Some others might put a sticker or something on when they flash it. I'm not sure how you'd go about finding out who did it.

Yes I forgot to mention there was no CEL, I’ll probably pull it to look for a sticker or some sign of who it was flashed by. Thank you for the input

I concur with the others. Almost certainly already flashed and the old owner didn't want to spend the money on O2 bungs. They are a little bit pricey and I couldn't recoup the cost in trying to resell the O2 sensors. Thought maybe somebody with a wrecked bike might buy them for cheap, but nope, never sold.
I have an old forum post on here about how I found oil drain plugs off of Nissan cars that will fit the threads where the O2 sensors go into. Only cost like $5 I think. I did have to drill the heads so I could safety wire them cause my first set unscrewed themselves. I obviously didn't torque them down enough and I didnt have high temp locktite. But I believe I mentioned all that in that thread.
