Hi, I am new to the forum. This might be a stupid question but, what is the best method of measuring? At the moment I am just measuring using the chains center pins as a measuring point. My chain measures 30mm of slack using this method. Is that the correct way about this?

I measure using the top surface of the chain to the underside of the swingarm, but it does not matter as long as you are consistent at the upper and lower movement of the chain. The chain tension spec is given as shown below:

Measure and mark center point from front and rear sprocket on swingarm Point "A" as shown on below diagram (i have small reflective tape stick on swingarm as a reference to avoid measuring again and again). Find tight spot on chain by moving the rear wheel slowly on paddock stand and adjust accordingly at this center point.
