I've written back to them as well, but just wanted to put this out here in case I'm missing something really simple, so someone can say, "Hey, dumbass, try X" Got the ECU back, reinstalled it, reconnected the battery, put everything back together(should have known better than that!) and I get this: photos.app.goo.gl/xuzXow2uyqX6Ft126It's very new (~2000kms) and otherwise bone stock. Nothing else changed while the ECU was away. Just to be sure, I left it plugged into my battery maintainer overnight to ensure it was fully charged, but same behavior this morning. Ideas?

I believe that the second gen bikes need to have the O2 sensors, exhaust servo motor and the pair solenoid still plugged in unlike the first gen bikes. Are they all still plugged in?

The check engine light will go off after 2 running cycles. It needs to get up to full temperature too.

Literally nothing else was changed on the bike with the removal and reinstallation of the ECU. Intake, exhaust, AIS, O2 sensor are all exactly as stock. The gas tank has never even been removed.

Yeah, as per 2WDW's page for the flash: I only disconnected the negative lead and didn't remove the battery, so there's no way the battery could be connected backwards. --------------- Since my original post, at 2WDW's direction, I've removed and reinstalled the ECU just to be sure it's fully power cycled and connected properly. Same results. No error messages shown, just won't fire when turning over. There ARE "problem with ECU" fault indicators that exist on the dash according to the manual ("Err" should show on the top bar, and a wrench icon, if there's a problem communicating with the ECU), but none of them are illuminated. --------------- Regarding OBD2 readers, I *strongly* recommend Scantool LX OBDLink readers. I've used a lot of the other ones over the years, but the Scantool models are the only ones that actually sleep when the bike is off (so you can leave them plugged in) and either their OBDLink software or Torque OBD. Sadly, my prior Yamahas all had 4pin connectors, whereas the MT10 has a 6pin, so my adapter won't work and I'm still waiting on a correct one in the mail. So, I can't check it, but as per the quote above, a check engine light is expected.

Update:
Alright, shipped the ECU back down to 2WDW. Hopefully they can figure out what the problem is and get it resolved.

I'm pretty confident everything will be fine, but still... $23000 of brand new motorcycle not running is stressful. Of course, during this we just had a couple weeks of weird and unseasonably warm sunny weather, with people out riding everywhere. ECU should arrive here tonight, and it's snowing. *sighs*

Final update on the ECU saga:
Got it back after a lovely week of Canada Customs being... Canada Customs. Reinstalled it, the bike fired up instantly and runs *extremely* well. The difference is astounding - I noted above I've had one of their flashes before on my MT07 and loved it, but this is nothing like that. The ETV changes as well as the power increase across the board, oh good lord, it's outstanding. No longer does it have that kind of awful kick when it finally opens the throttle around 6-7k; it just does what you tell it to, when you tell it to. Way more exciting <7000rpm, and way more linear power across the whole rev range. The smoother torque curve is abundantly evident.
And, because you can actually give it throttle at lower RPM now, it makes that wonderful noise at lower RPM too once you've got the engine under load.
100% worth the extra $100 in shipping and downtime. No regrets whatsoever.

Awesome - glad to hear that everything went well and the flash was well worth it for you!
Thank you for posting an update afterwards with the outcome!

The bike will run without the O2 sensors plugged in. Generally the tuner will put the O2 sensors into closed loop. On the 2022+ MT10, disconnecting the O2 sensors will only cause the Cruise Control not to operate. Reconnecting just the LH sensor will allow the Cruise light to switch on but still not operate. Reconnecting the 2nd O2 sensor located under the fuel tank will allow the cruise to operate as normal.
