Wondering if anyone has tried fitting the OEM hand guards from the current gen Tracer GT to a Gen 2 MT-10. Would love some protection from cold temps while touring (in addition to heated grips). I don’t care for the look of the limited aftermarket options. I’m sure some modified brackets might be needed to secure. A quick visual comparison at a dealership suggested it might be possible, but I wasn’t able to take exact measurements.

So I don't know about 3rd gen (current) Tracer 9 hand guards, but it just so happens that I have a pair of 2bd gen (2019) Tracer 900GT hand guards. They mount successfully to the bar ends, but the mirror mounts are about 1cm out of position. This isn't insurmountable, aside from fabricating a separate bracket (it has a hole for the mirror stem and two holes where it mounts to the handguard), you can:
* Remove one of the two handguard mount bolts allowing you to slightly rotate the bracket * Move the levers inboard a small amount, which will allow the bracket to fit * Simply remove that bracket and don't use it at all (the bar end mount is very solid)
If anyone wants, I can put some photos together.

Sorry for the delay in getting back--we moved out of riding season here in MN and I'm just getting back to thinking about it as the weather warms. Photos would be great. Aside from the plastic guards, I'm wondering what other fitment items I'd need to order. If I order everything in the Yamaha schematic, it's close to $250. Some of the most expensive components of that are the external bar ends and the internal bar end that has a hole for the mounting bolt to thread into (#2 and #4 in the diagram). Do you recall whether you were able to use the existing ones on your MT-10 or did you need to bring those over from the Tracer 900GT?
