I took the rear wheel in for the second tire replacement today at the local shop. The guy destroyed the finish of the wheel. Almost the entire lip is gouged deep and wide on both sides of the wheel. No paint left around the whole wheel. It will definitely need to be sanded a ton to get the deep gouges out then painted.
Is it even possible to buy the 22-23 cyan with red stripe rear wheel?

I would take it back to them and make them pay for a new wheel. I have changed hundreds of tires and never gouged of destroyed anyones rim.

Amazing that anyone would see this as acceptable workmanship! Sounds like he wants to make things right (as he should)...hope he is a man of his word and all this gets resolved! Keep us posted...on the bright side...you'll now have a spare rear wheel!

Yeah, that's the black or maybe blue wheel. The cyan wheel is B5Y-W2533-00-P1. He said he was going to order it when we spoke last Tuesday 7 days ago. I also sent him the links for the wheel and bearings Tuesday and he replied cool. I don't know how long I should wait to ask him if they're on the way. I'll order another tire if he ordered it. If not I'll have to figure out how to do some small claims thing for $700 but I'm not that guy. I'd hate to have to figure out how to do that, if that shit even works. |

Yea hopefully they just take care of it for you. Having to go through small claims court would be a PTIA I would assume. I've never had to do that though |
