Hey all
I have the OEM touring screen for my 2022 MT but it's gives me worse wind blast than without it.
Are they're any alternatives available to suit taller riders? Think 198cm\6'7".
As I purchased mine just after release, there weren't any alternatives until now.

I'm about 10 inches shorter than you so what's working for me right now (The mid height windscreen made by Yamaha) is probably not going to work with you. I have been very happy with it but still may get occasional head buffeting so it's almost certainly not going to work for you.
I would recommend maybe looking at the Puig Touring Plus screen. I purchased it and immediately returned it because it was pretty ridiculously big for me, but I'm thinking someone your size may benefit from it.

What did you end up getting? I'm 6'5", long in the torso, and would love to hear if you found something that worked for you. Finding gear that fits is a major challenge - I love my jacket (it's just barely long enough), but it's begun flapping between the neck and shoulders at speed (making for a TON of noise). I'm hoping a windscreen could deflect enough to minimize that without causing a stronger headblast. The Puig Touring Plus isn't available for gen2 mt10s, but a similar model is - www.cyclegear.com/parts/puig-touring-naked-new-generation-windscreen-yamaha-mt-10-sp-2022-2023Does anyone tall have experience with this combination? OEM: Puig Touring Naked

I have the Puig touring for the 2nd gen. I'm 6'0" with a longer torso and it basically takes all the wind off the main part of my body. So just the top part of my chest and shoulders are hit with wind. Unless there's some sort of crosswind the airflow is pretty clean. It looks decent in person, fits with the lines of the bike.
Also when you put the big screen on there you'll have to find the position that fits for you and tighten down the adjusters that hold the bracket to the headlight assembly. There's 2 on the top and one on the bottom, I cranked the bottom one down and it works pretty well.

I'm 6' 3" I picked up a 2022 MT-10 last week, immediately put on the OEM screen and took a 300 mile trip. While I appreciated that it moved the wind blast off my chest (it was 50 degrees out), it directs the wind right to my helmet. It doesn't produce much buffeting, but it does increase wind noise materially. Despite trying to shift positions, I'm not able to fully tuck in behind it for any period of time. I too am interested in whether the Puig might offer better wind flow/protection for tall riders. The dimensions of the two screens are quite similar, but it appears the Puig angles a bit more up vs. the OEM curving toward the rider. If so, it's possible, it pushes the air slightly higher and might offer little bigger pocket. Sounds like kinnanigans has had success. Any other riders try the Puig touring?

I'm super short, so I don't think we will have a comparable experience. But I have the puig touring screen and it's been great to me so far. It's perfect at higher speeds, allows me to hide behind it and not get blasted in the face with wind. For me, it was 100% worth the purchase. Here's a few pictures of what it looks like for me (gopro is mounted to chin)

I have a 2023 MT-10 and immediately purchased the OEM Touring windshield which I LOVE the way it looks but honestly it is pretty worthless compared to other windscreens I have used on other models that actually WORKED And I am only 5' 10". The only way I can make this work is by doing a ridiculous tuck behind it....Which if there were any way to install clip on bars (there ain't lol) THEN it would no doubt work. Now my Tracer 9gt came standard equipped with a much taller windscreen...not nearly as nice looking but it actually works for the most part. Previously I owned an older 650 VeeStrom with a madstadt windshield ....THAT was the ultimate! It was pure bliss dead air behind that one! Of course the bike was gutless and did not provide a fraction of the fun and excitement of my MT-10....or even the Tracer for that matter. Somehow the market has gotten really screwed up and manufacturers ignore REALLY important elements ...why? Because the influencers SAY you will enjoy owning a naked bike ....and you might ON SHORT RIDES And is it just me or are there hardly any MT-10s on the market or being discussed with anything like high mileage? What does it say when owners are not piling the miles on a model like other owners ARE doing with other models? What I think it screams is that one model is miserable to ride all day while another is awesome to. Comfortable sport touring bikes you hear owners talking really high miles and the used examples on the market also clearly reflect the same thing. I think R1s even get ridden more than their more ergonomically comfortable counterpart and MAYBE it is down to wind protection....which the MT-10 has precious LITTLE of Funny thing is its ancestor the FZ1 did have some wind protection! But somehow the influencers told us naked bikes are more desirable....uhhh I don't think so ....at all! WTF??? Chime anyone here with some serious miles on the naked liter bike? That goes all day on the highways at speed? Chime in if you have 30k +miles on your MT-10

I have tried all three sizes from Puig on my MT-10 SP 2023 (Gen-2), currently I have windshield NG Touring Part 21362. With the biggest windshield from touring, I still have air issue on helmet area, but Puig themselves states that Helmet protection achieved with Touring windshield is 11% (only improvement of 9% @ 150km/hr - 20degC). At same speed and temperature upper and lower body protection is more prominent. There is no other Windshield from any other reputed manf. like Givi, WRS, etc.. with such CFD flow simulation data other than Puig.. So for now, only Puig Windshield NG Touring Part 21362 looks to be the best install..

I've owed 5 Gen1 FZ1s and 1 Gen 2 and have always put the shortest screen on them and made a couple of them naked. Had a 2012 Speed Triple R, I prefer a naked bike. Get a helmet that deals with wind better, or a Miata. 300 mile days are the norm and I've never had an issue with a naked bike. For reference I'm 6'4" with a long torso, so nothing short of a barn door will block wind. You don't ride a naked bike for "dead air", that's what touring bikes are for.

Has anyone here tried sport version of Puig on G2? I am 6'2" and think Touring is just too tall for my likings. I have another ST bike for long touring purposes so wondering if Sport NG will work better for me? Any thoughts? Puig Sport
