Evening everyone ποΈ So Iβve noticed this after being out today π¬ (not used the bike for 6months or so) Also the engine management light was on when I started it this morning π never seen this before ? Donβt think the two are connected ?? I have noticed the oil is above the maximum line. Not sure if this would trigger the engine light ? I think itβs coming from this metal coolant pipe? Anyone else experience this ? Thanks for looking

Seems to be a pretty common problem. Definitely more threads about this on the forum. I think it has something to do with bad stock o rings. There might even be a service bulletin on it by now from Yamaha because it's so common.

Oh Bugger it !!
To be honest Iβm more worried about choosing someone to leave it with !!
I hate the thought of someone else touching my bike π¬
Plus Iβm not near any Yamaha dealers ?
Thanks for the reply

Yea it's the o-ring on that coolant pipe. Some say you can do it without removing the headers. Some say you can't. I've seen plenty snap their header bolts trying to remove them so wome PB Blaster and heat is your friend if you decide to remove them.

Iβll be trying to remove it without removing those headers, as the only way Iβm removing those blighters is to replace them a set of R1βs Tiβs !
Iβll keep this updated as and when I attempt it π¬
