replaced the battery on my MT/FZ10 today and for few seconds I connected the terminals wrong way around. It blew the 50amp main fuse and the 7.5amp Throttle fuse which I have replaced now. I am now getting power, the fuel pump is priming but the bike won't turn over. There is no sound from the starter motor and neither the tacho lights are going dim as they do when you crank the engine.
Any advice will be appreciated

Welcome to the forum!
You're definitely not the first this has happened to. There's definitely other posts in this section that may help you out and give you some ideas.
You may need to completely replace the battery as well.

You may need to completely replace the battery as well. I have read from other posts that they had to replace both of the fuses and the problem got resolved which I have done. Just cannot seem to figure out what the problem is. I have checked all the other fuses and they all seem ok

May be the starter is the problem now. May want to check it out. May also want to ensure your kill sensor for the kick stand isn’t causing the issue as well. Kind of sounds like your bike thinks it’s in gear with kickstand extended. I would maybe also disco the battery again and reconnect after 10 minutes or so.

Thanks for the advice, I'll see if I can bump start it, if it brings it back to life then I know it's the starter motor

Managed to find the problem. It's the starter relay/solenoid under the seat which got burned. I bridged the connectors and it started cranking over. Thanks to everyone who tried to help out

The reversed battery issue seems to come up pretty frequently.
Tech tip for everyone: take pictures of whatever you are working on beforehand. Saves you a lot of hassle!
