Just took it apart today to try it out. Remove the two black rear bolts with a 4mm Allen. Next, at the front of the scoop, the "push in" style rivets are what holds the accent or front piece of the scoop. Once you get the top rivet out, the next one is just below it. Take a credit card and slide it forward from the scoop, under the accent, to release the accent from the scoop. The scoop should at this point pull off towards yourself. Finally, remove the two 5mm bolts from the cover holding the turn signal bracket. Between what I have instructed and the visual of JoeGo101, this should take you all of 5 minutes to remove.

I've thought about putting a strip of red LED lights in the scoops to glow at night.
