Hello, I just bought few days ago brand new 2022/2023 MT-10 EU version. I'm around 250 miles right now as I'm breaking in. I'm not exceeding half of RPM range and driving as I normally would. Bike is great, but one thing concerns me and it's vibrations. On every gear I can feel that my tank, sets and handlebars vibrate. Its not that unpleasant, but I can definately feel it constantly. Especially between 3.5k - 6k RPM. In this range also my left mirror vibrates and vision in it blurs. While I'm accelerating harder, from 4th gear up, the vibrations are giant and whole bike shake. It's my first bike with crossplane, so I'm not sure if it's okay to have this type of vibrations on break in period? Will it go away, when I ll change the oil after first 600 miles? I tried to search this already but didn't found any satisfactory info Hope this thread won't be deleted and thx for any piece of information

I came from a smooth 600 cc supersport and thought my 2021 MT10 was vibrating like crazy when I was breaking it in. I think it's just what they do, they are just beasts and you can really tell they are when you start to get on it, and especially during break in I would bet.
I never really noticed a decrease in the vibration, but I do remember it vibrating a lot at the start. I took off my OEM mirrors after my first ride so I can't attest to wether or not mine did that as well.
It's hard to tell if I just got used to it quickly or the oil changes I did had something to do with it. I'm really not sure. But I'm pretty certain it's normal as long as it stays in not too unpleasant range! Ride safe!

Welcome to the forum, no fear of posting around here! The forum is pretty chill.
I echo treedoggs sentiment. It might be a bit change coming from a traditional sportbike, especially in a lower CC range. Adapting to a 1000 CC cross plane is usually a bit change coming from most other sportbikes.
Other members have reported vibrations in the 4-5k range so this doesn't seem abnormal.
Other thing that I would like to point out is that since you are abiding to the break in, you haven't really explored the full RPM range yet. You may find that it rides more comfortably above 6k which is where I think the bike performs better at speed.

I dont remember my bike ever vibrating this badly.
Any chance you have a tire out of balance?

I am still early breaking my 2023 in, though I take a bit more aggressive of an approach I do also notice particularly at lower rpms like 4-6k and more so from 4th gear up it has a good bit of vibration compared to my former bike which was a Kawasaki Z900. The Kawasaki was smooth as silk from day 1, so I imagine it's just the nature of the beast. I will say also that the MT10 smooths out at the higher RPM range. At just over 200 miles only time will tell for me, certainly not concerned about it at least.

Yes 4-6k there will some vibration. It will smooth out a bit after break in. Want to say it’s a Yamaha thing. You won’t be living in that range for long.

You should be riding the bike (except when just cruising) in the lower gears to keep the RPMs up closer to max HP and torque to get the best ride out of it. That's where she performs the best. Most of my spirited riding through the canyons will have me down in 2nd and 3rd gears when we hit the curves and tighter roads.

Some time passed since I created this thread. Thanks for your replies a lot!
Anyway I was testing some things. I went to my dealer and they said "It's behave not so different from our other mt10s" so I guess it's how this engine is.
I got my oil changed at around 600miles and it didn't helped much (I noticed first 3 gears are more rough after oil change, or maybe it's just my imgaination). Now as I have over 1100 miles on it, I tested it a little and vibrations "are". When going 90 miles the vibrations are simply unpleasant. At higher RPM your can feel that it vibrates constantly, maybe less or maybe it just speed and exhaust sound makes it less noticable. Engine ofcourse has power (going to dyno it soon) but while accelerating hard, especially on 3 to 6 gear it shakes enough to feel it on most parts of body.
Bike is great apart from that. On first and second gear it's true monster, aslo really like small exhaust shoots it makes after hard acceleration.
I'm going to test it more at higher RPMs when I ll have some more time.
One more question - do upshifting with quickshifter can sometimes be more laggy? One time it changes instantly and sometimes it lags a little so I can feel the front go down a little.

The QS is pretty consistent for my 2020, I know that it can be a bit more clunky 1-3 gears. As far as the vibrations I’d see if you could get on another MT if possible and see if there is any difference.

I agree the quick shifter is a bit more clunky in 1st through 3rd, and also notice it can have a little more lag sometimes but other times be perfectly smooth. All things that I am able to live with considering how amazing the rest of the riding experience is.
