I've been trying to put back my exhaustsystem for over a week now, no matter what i do i can't get the cat to fit onto the headers. I tried with the original gaskets(which were fine) but after a bunch of tries they got so worn that they had to be thrown out. I got a new set today but still have the same issue, i try different angles try using force but nothing seems to work.
I assume that i had to put the gaskets into the fittings on the cat and not directly onto the headers. Has anyone converted back and had the same issue? Or maybe anyone has some tips on how to get it on?

You will probably need a rubber mallet and some rags to protect the pipes to get them on. I haven’t tried it but that would be my solution.
Edit:
Also what RnB said about opening up the ends a bit

If I remember correctly, the gaskets and header pipe go inside of the pipes coming from the exhaust chamber, not the other way around.
If for some reason they won't go, you should be able to open up the pipes by slightly bending the lips of the pipes coming from the exhaust chamber (that's why they are slotted) and then use the clamps to return them back to normal squeezing down on the gasket and header pipes.

Edit: Also what RnB said about opening up the ends a bit There's really no way of getting any leverage to hit any part of the exhaust since the back tire is in the way, and moving the exhaust around does nothing it's just stuck after getting a cm in. Not really sure what to do here.

I'll get a new set of gaskets any try putting them onto headers first, thank for the tip.

Not really sure what to do here. If you have a wheel chock or someway to chock the front wheels (even against a wall), you could lift up the rear tire with some tie downs strapped to something like the rafters in your garage. This will unload the rear suspension and maybe give you more room to work with.

You can also use some copper antiseize grease as a lubricant on the gaskets.

Run the bike until the header is hot or use a torch to expand the opening. The also sell a cheap gadget that you tap into the hole to expand the opening.
