I just bought a new 2023 Mt10 and the rear tire is looking pretty bad with 1500 miles on it. I'm 350 pounds, so it's like riding two up all the time for this poor bike. Lol I'm looking for a good sport touring tire that will last much longer than the s22 hypersport that's on it. I was looking at the Bridgestone Battlax T32GT tire for commuting. Is there something better? Does anyone have experience with this tire? Please let me know about it. Thank you

T32GT has a very good reputation but I've not tried it. I run the Michelin Pilot Road 6 on my MT and it has more than enough grip on the street.

I've got about 5k miles on my Angel GT 2's and they've been awesome so far. 90% of my riding is commuting

I run T-32's on my MT-10. I've got almost 4000 miles on them and it looks like I'll get about another 1500-2000 miles contingent on how heavy handed my right hand is.

I have them on my '22 Tracer GT and the life expectancy on it is also about 6000 miles. Issue for me is that the front seems to be wearing our before the rear and that is no bueno for me, so I am going to the new Dunlop Road Smart 4 next, which has rave reviews in many media tests.

That's funny you say that. I had the same experience on a set I had on my VFR800. I replaced them with Michelin Road 6's. The front on my MT looks totally fine-go figure.

I’d go Michelin Roads (any) The stock battlax are too soft. Got a good deal on Dunlop sportmax that are in her now, but they seem on the softer side too.

+1 for the Michelin Road 6, I have them on my ST1300 and they have been amazing so far. Excellent wet weather performance and most ST riders are getting around 10k (or more) miles out of them. I am considering the Dunlop Mutant for the MT when its time for tires, they use a dual compound for longevity and reportedly do well in the rain. The mutant is priced much lower than the Michelins.

I just put the Michelin Road 6's on my front and rear on my 2022 MT-10. I'm not very aggressive in the corners, so for me it's sufficient. However, I have noticed that when (trying to do) power wheelies, the rear wheel has a tendency to slip a little bit more than the default Bridgestone S22's.

I installed Michelin Road 5 in the rear, so far it seems to have good traction and holds the corners with confidence, I generally commute to work daily and take some semi aggressive rides on weekends

Thank you With gear and luggage I'm around 300-310 rider weight, the best I got out of a road5 before upgrading my rear suspension was about 4000 miles and it was dangerously bald. I got 1500 on a road6 but I think I got a bad tire or something. I averaged about 3500-3800 miles. After putting a ktech rear on, I've got about 2500 miles on a road5 with the first 500 on the old shock and my tread is pretty much right at half life. The stock spring can't handle the weight and it is transferring the load to the tire, cupping the hell out of the tread and accelerating the wear. If you look into suspension alternatives, price out respringing the stock rear vs a drop in like a penske or ktech. Parts+labor for me was only like a couple hundred less than just buying the unit and swapping it myself.

As a daily commuter and weekend canyon carver, I tend to stick to Dunlop Q3+ for that extra grip and longevity. I've gotten about 7K miles out of a set before. On average, 5K. I go through about 3 sets a year.

I'm up to just under 5000 miles on my T-32's and 6000 miles is looking good.
