I have Brembo RCS19 master cylinder and Brembo GP4-RS calipers off my old R1(1999). On my R1 the brakes are mental and I want to fit them on my MT10, has anyone done this? as in changed the master cylinder and calipers, I know there is things I need to buy ie brake switch and ABS eliminator. I've rode bikes since I was 11 years old and I'm not bothered by not having ABS, never needed it before. So I'm just enquiring if anyone has done this and is it a pig of a job to do.

Welcome to the forum. The RCS19 will almost certainly fit. That's basically a universal part that you just need the proper parts for it which is going to be likely new (longer) brake lines, brake fluid reservoir, and the brake switch. The brake line part is questionable. Some people will tell you the stock lines will reach, some say they won't or it's too tight of a fit. I think the calipers are fine as well since I think those were designed to be pretty universal with the 108mm bolt pattern but I'm not 100 % sure. I've never messed with brake calipers replacement on any of my bikes. It'll probably be a good time to rebuild them when you have them off the bike if they're a few years old. I dont think either of these affect the ability to have ABS on the bike. The bikes ABS should continue to work nominally as long as you don't mess with the ABS module or the wheel sensors or sensor rings. And if you get new brake lines, you can get ABS lines and ABS will still work. And don't knock ABS. Nobody needs ABS until you need ABS! ~30 % decrease in fatality rate! The bigger issue you'll have is with cruise control disengage and the brake light switch. But I would presume brembo has a switch for that for our bikes since the SP comes with a brembo master cylinder. So perhaps track down that part number. Good luck. Would love to see you do that project on here! I'd be curious to see a thread on it!!
