Hey everybody, I’m new here. I just picked up a 2018 MT-10 at the beginning of the year. I bought a set of titanium headers on eBay to swap out, and they just arrived. Comparing the welds inside the pipes to the photos that have been posted here on other threads, it appears I wasn’t sent titanium headers, but stainless steel ones instead. These were advertised specifically as titanium. They weigh in at at just a touch under 6.5lbs. Does anybody know the weight of a set of titanium headers? I know, from other threads that their difference is about 1.1KG or about 2.5 lbs. can someone confirm for me that the titanium headers are about 4lbs? Or that their stainless steel headers are about 6.5lbs? I’d like to have that information available when I discuss the situation with the seller. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I took a quick look at my headers right now for numbers and mine (2017, stainless steel headers) has the digits "B60" on it. This must be in reference to the first 3 digits of the part number for the exhaust. To help you find it on yours, the digits were facing down at the floor near the 90 degree bend in the pipes.
Therefore, for R1 Titanium headers, those 3 digits should be "2CR".
It seems during/after the pandemic, Yamaha stopped including titanium headers on the R1 models so all the newer models have the B60 part number as well. It should be only specific R1 years (2015-2019 I think). So if seller is advertising them off a 2022 R1, they are not titanium.

Thank you for the information. They were advertised as titanium off of a pre 2019 R1. After looking where you mentioned it is clear they’re not titanium, as they have the part number of B60. Thank you very much for l directing me to where I could find the part number, I spent awhile looking for indication of a part number, but apparently gave up too early. I’ve contacted the seller, who at least acknowledged there could be an issue and will get back to me during the coming week.
Thank you again!
