I found this used FZ10 at a dealership I'm interested. It's a 2017 with 19k miles (mostly highway as it was used as a touring bike). It's running for 10k. This is a sweet bike and I LOVE the looks! I'm looking for a bigger bike too as I'm 6'6". I also don't know what upgrades it has, but definitely has a upgraded much softer seat than stock. Overall though, the price seems steep and I'm not a huge fan of the miles. Although their mostly highway, that's a lot of miles, and at this price I can buy a brand new mt09 or for 3k more a brand new mt10. Thoughts? Here's the listing www.cedarcreekmotorsports.com/Pre-Owned-Inventory-2017-Yamaha-Motorcycle-Scooter-FZ-10-Cedarburg-Wisconsin-11405057

That sounds a little high to me, especially for a 2017 with almost 20k miles on it. I've seen newer bikes with less miles and more goodies for that price on facebook. KBB does say that a typical listing price for that bike its over $11k though so IDK lol
It says my 2019 has a typical listing price of $12,700. I paid $11,999 for it brand new lol

I own a 2017 and here is my input.
That bike has some mods on it which, if valuable to you, are nice.
The black wheels are not the stock color so those are either powder coated or came from somewhere else. Bike has a comfort seat which is nice because the stock seat sux ass.
Bike was obviously used for touring so as long as it was maintained mileage should not matter.
FWIW I bought my 2017 new for 10.5k OTD.
Maybe try and talk them down to 9.5k OTD?

I'd try to get them to sell it for 9k. My guess is they paid 8k and below for it on the trade in value just because of the color changes to the fairings and wheels. I'd ask them to pop open the seat to see if there is a dynojet in there as the guy put a sticker on the frame. Some people love to do that when they add a mod, my motorcycle had stickers on it of the mods he put into the bike. If there is a dynojet, you could argue the bike has been heavily modded and you're looking for something stock. If there is no dynojet, say you're taking a risk in that the cat is gone and you have no idea if the bike has been flashed or not which can cause issues as the 02 sensor doesn't looked plugged in. Even if you like the colors and mods, act like you don't. Say you wanted one stock with the cat and green fluo colors. They might be willing to deal if they paid 8k and under for it and need the sale.
What is the tape looking thing under the windscreen? Also the tank grip in the middle looks strange, like there is left over adhesive and he put one on top of it. I'd go see the bike in person as you'll probably notice some things that are bit janky. Use those to get a better price.
Also keep in mind at 20,000 to 24,000 miles it is highly recommending to get a valve clearance service done which can be expensive. You might be able to leverage that into a lower price or a deal on their serivce for that job.

Also noticed that front blinker is broken. If they're not going to replace it it's like $190 from Yamaha for a new one.

That appears to be too much for that bike. +1 on what “cowthulhu”, “Will84”, and “tennifreak” said.

About $1000-1200 in mods, almost due for the first valve job if you follow the service intervals. And are those decals on the side covers stock? They look goofy.
I paid 12k for my 2019 with 8000 miles last year. I'd see if they'll come down or pass on it.

So not sure where ya live but here is a listing in Beaverton, OR. Two years newer less miles and same price. You can see this has had mods as well in just the one pic.
