Good morning MT-10 riders. I have some info for you all. I wad watching a video of a guy swapping out the full system from a 2022 R1M. I emailed him and asked if he would sell me the factory R1M header pipes for my MT-10. He agreed for $200.00. After he sent me a close up picture I noticed that it was not Titanium. I did some digging and found out Yamaha stopped using Titanium headers on the R1M in 2020! If your looking for Titanium headers make sure they come off a 2019 or older R1M! Ride my friends!

Looks like the MT-10 SP as well. Maybe it was just foolish of me to assume the Titanium headers would make their way onto the MT-10SP? Yamaha is still on their website advertising the R1M that they have a "Titanium Exhaust System" but the smaller print right below says Muffler and Heat Shields only. I don't see any mention of Titanium Exhaust pipes on their website for the MT-10SP It's a shame because on top of the lightweight titanium, the inside of the exhaust looked better machined for better exhaust flow. So beyond just a weight reduction, there seemed to be a performance purpose for the different headers. Here's the part number that shows it stopped being associated with the R1M in 2019: www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/partsearch/yamaha?partsearch=2cr-14602-00-00(Click on "where used" and it'll pull up all the bikes this part # is associated with) And then our exhaust which is now also associated with pretty much all of the R1, MT10 models" www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/partsearch/yamaha?partsearch=b60-14602-00-00

Titanium comes from Russia! Maybe there is a supply issue?

Titanium comes from Russia! Maybe there is a supply issue? Certainly makes sense. Maybe a COVID issue that was supposed to be temporary but they just never went back to it.
