Just did a track day down at Houston Motorsport Ranch. This was my first track day since installing my Woodcraft clip ons and I can say they made more difference than expected.
With the bars I felt like I had reached the point where they were getting in the way making it uncomfortable getting my body position right in the corners. Also I had felt my hands were way to high tucking in all the way on the straights.
Woodcraft clip ons solved both issues! I installed them in the "up" position which is about 2 inches lower than the bars (the down was too low and causing lock-to-lock issues IMO).
With the more aggressive position I noticed the front end playing nicer with slightly more weight put over it. The biggest difference was moving my hands slightly in so they were not as far apart. This definitely made me more comfortable and also helped me get a better lean angle. Found myself scraping pegs more often and now I might be looking into some rearsets LOL.
Other new mods that made a difference: 42 tooth rear sprocket (along with 520 chain): This gives me more room in 3rd gear which is typically my most used gear on track. It also helps keep the front end down longer. EBC brake pads: More bite and a quicker stop time lets me carry more speed to the corner. Tires: RS11's are a HUGE improvement over the S21's I had been running. They feel like glue on the tarmac.
