Really like the looks of dat windscreen. I think its the best looking option for anyone that wants to ad a windscreen to the -10. If i ever felt the need for a windscreen i would go for that one.

Absolutely. Be nice to get a few warm days this month yet. I've had New Years Day rides in the past.

I'm on the fence. The only thing throwing me off is what looks like padding around the top edge.
**Edit: Also looks like it would make it more difficult to clean the bugs in the nooks and crannies.

Some posters on FZ09 actually added that trim strip to their screen claiming it smoothed out air flow? MRA seems to know what they're doing, so that may be the case.

MRA smoke colored screen arrived today. Mounting was simple with all original parts staying on the bike except the mounting bolts which are too short. Note that these were barely finger tight when I removed them. It would be wise for all of you to check these for proper torque. I have a minor clearance issue. My handguards make contact with the upper edge of the screen about 1/2" prior to full turn lock on both sides. Fortunately the guards are free floating where they hit and flex with very little force. There is no issue whatsoever regarding safety or control. If you have guards that are rigidly mounted on both ends, this could be a problem. The smoke is a little light in color, but I prefer it over clear or opaque black. Also note, the black trim edge tube can be left off or removed or replaced easily. There's a small metal pinch clip that you squeeze onto each end to hold it in place during riding. Good instructions with good illustrations. As posted before, MRA is one of the only ones made of shatterproof material. They will break leaving clean, smooth edges versus sharp jagged breaks occurring with most other brands. This is described on their site and I've read forum threads showing pictures that attest to this. With ice and snow on the roads, my test ride will have to wait. I'd rather not provide first hand crash results. The next decent day that comes along, I'll take a spin and post my review. Pictures:

I like that. It sets straighter up than I expected, but the height is still low enough to keep the lines of the bike.

Test ride with new MRA sport screen complete.
How many screens has everyone bought that were any great shakes? Very few? Same here.
Unfortunately, I'm not overly impressed. I always have said screens don't block the wind, they just move it somewhere else. I can't even really say that here. I really couldn't feel a whole lot of difference. It was cold at just above freezing out, but less than 5 mph wind. Pretty good test condition. Windy days can be very misleading. Without the screen, if I duck down about 6", it's a fair amount calmer and quieter. With the MRA, there's no change from upright to tucked down. So, possibly a little better sitting upright, but not much. I'm 6' tall with a 32" inseam for comparison, but I sat up as high as I could to full tuck. Bottom line is there is little, if any measureable difference up to 100 mph. I took it to 125 mph and there was a fair amount of wind shear on my upper body. Was it less than without the MRA? I think so. Sitting upright without it takes more effort to hold on. It pulls on the body pretty hard though with the screen.
I plan to keep it and do more tests in the spring. If I went into buying it knowing how it performs, I wouldn't get one. I have been so impressed with the performance of the factory spoiler. If it didn't work as well as it does, the MRA may end up being a huge improvement. But the spoiler does work and it's hard to get a lot of improvement over that. The FZ-10 is a naked bike, so expecting calm, quiet air isn't realistic. My advice? Save your money and enjoy the FZ-10 just the way it is. If you tour long distances and ride in the rain, get yourself a giant barn door screen that will give you some serious protection. Otherwise keep it stock.
In spite of everything else, it was a glorious ride. I would have gone farther, but ice on the road ahead forced me to quit. Gonna be a long winter here.
