Arai Quantic in Face Blue to match my SP. araihelmets.net.au/au/collection/detail/quanticGreat helmet but noisy. Just realised it might be due to the forehead vent that I thought was closed but was actually open according to the Arai site. I was actually looking to buy Arai Quantic, but on site it says application Touring & Street. Now thinking of RX-7V Evo application Race & Sport. May be RX-7V Evo is less noisier, not sure...

Vent closed made it a little quieter but not much. I was considering one of the RX-7s but I don't think the ECE 22.06 ones were available at the time.

I didn't see my helmet as an option to pick
I also use an AGV Pista GP-RR, Arai Corsair X, HJC RPHA 11 Pro and Shoei X-14. I like the fit/stability of the AGV Pista GP-RR the best, but wish it had pockets for ear speakers, but it is very comfortable. I'd say my HJC is the least comfortable for me. All are great helmets to me, but each has their highlights and nit picks for me. My "go to" helmet is the AGV Pista and 2nd the Shoei, 3rd the Arai....I don't think you can go wrong with any of those.

I’ve been very curious about the new alpine stars helmets! How do you like it?

I need to replace my aging Arai Signet-Q.
Highly recommended for those of us with long oval heads - comfortable, quiet, and shaped well to prevent torsion in a crash.
Right now, I'm waiting for an ECE 22-06 rated long oval helmet.

Shark Evoline 3. (Modular). MFG claims only modular helmet that retains its safety ratings in the open position. (at least when I bought it). So nice to ride open when its hot. Visors are extremely simple to remove/install. Crash tested a few months ago when my helmet met the rear bumper of a semi-truck at speed. Mild concussion and a sore neck, but that's it.

Another recent addition to the collection: ARAI RX-7V Evo (European version) not sure what this particular model in called in US market? So far the best when compared to Xlite Ultra Carbon and Shoei...

Shoei Hornet V2. I liked it so much i bought a second one. it can fit a pair of MX goggles which is great for humid summers and has a great FOV. Also does not whistle... Any helmet made in the last 10 years that whistles on the highway belongs in the trash. looking at you Shark; 600$ French POS head whistle.

I have been using a Shark SKWAL 2 for the last 2.5 years. It is a comfortable helmet with a sun visor inside. It also came with a Pin Lock. However, a couple of weeks ago my local bike gear store had an offer on for the Shoei GT-AIR 11. This lid also comes with a Pin Lock. I have had Shoei lids way back in the past and remembered what good quality and fit they were. So off to the store, out with the card and bought it. Have had a couple of rides out with the Shoei on and am extremely pleased with it's quality, fit and comfort. It now has a made to measure chin mount for the camera.

Since we are on the subject of Helmets, one word of caution is that never put your super expensive Helmet, on the tank or the seat. Best place is on the mirror , foot peg or even the ground. I know by experience that they will fall and break pieces or get damaged.

Shoei RF14, fits my head perfectly! YMMV!
Always place my helmet on the ground, can’t fall off the ground!
