I'm considering replacing my MT09 with a 2022 MT10 but a top box or soft bag is a requirement. A rear seat bag is an option but doing the kick/hop to mount the bike isn't my first choice.
I'm a big fan of Ventura packs and they don't have a fitment for the 2022 yet. It also looks like Ventura may have to switch up the mounting system due to the new rear on the 2022 which may limit the max weight for the system.
Has anyone tried the factory rack for the 2022? If so, does it require cutting plastic or anything extreme to get it mounted?
Appreciate any input.

I have the luggage rack for the 2022 Mt-10 and I LOVE IT. Here's a few pictures! EDIT: Because I'm a big baby and was scared to touch my bike, I actually took the installation to a dealer. However, there was no modification that needed to be made to the tail of the bike and all the standard mounting hardware worked. EDIT EDIT: I have also reached out to both Shad USA and Givi USA support to ask when they may have luggage options available for the 2022. They do not have an ETA. Givi has the tanklock bag which I have; but that's it. imgur.com/a/ApYlLx0

Great info. Thanks. I like the way the Yamaha rack integrates into the lines of the bike. Much cleaner than the typical Ventura look. Do the Yamaha install instructions list a weight limit for the rack?
I also like the Blaze bags concept and considered those for another bike (S1000R). Not cheap but they look like they are great quality and I love the fact that you can pull everything off the bike and return it to the stock look easily. Also, good to hear that they haul a lot of stuff. There's a used set on ebay for the "single R" right now so I may pick them up.

They hold just about the same amount, biggest difference is new one opens like a clamshell when you expand them and has webbing for accessories. Older one expands accordion style.

Oh wow - great question - I completely forgot to mention this incredible downside. The luggage rack has a weight limit stamped on it... 11 POUNDS.

Wow. That is pretty low. I wonder if they're being really conservative. It seems like any concerns would more about the subframe stress with a passenger plus the box?
The rack itself and how it bolts up would seem to be able to support more than 11lbs.

This weekend I think my luggage was around 20 pounds on the rear rack; I went around 400 miles of all highway riding. It held up fine without issues (of course if it went bad, it would be REALLY bad)

On the website they have the back of the case red (like the taillight) which I don’t like
