Coming from a DR650 to a FZ10 is amazing! I love this bike and I'm looking forward to summer so I can see what she'll really do!

At least you can be comfortable in your gear lately. It must be really rough in the summer.

Welcome spartanadv The bike looks great. How does the adventure helmet do at highway speeds? Which one is it? I envy you being so close to eastern Tennessee. I try to get up there a few times a year. Last February, a couple friends and I went for a couple days of riding. We stayed in Telico Plains the first night and Gatlinburg the second. The forecast said it would be in the 50's during the day. They lied. We had a great time anyway. The three of us crossed The Great Smoky Mountain as it was getting dusk. The choices were 37 miles with the crossing or 111 miles going around. We should have gone around! There was snow on top and black ice patches. We made it safely, but damn it was cold. It is now forever known as Hell Mountain.

The helmet is the Icon Variant Ghost Carbon. It does fine until I end up behind a truck on the interstate. Today I was in that exact situation plus some added crosswind around the KY/TN border. It is a bit brutal as far as head shake goes until you learn to tilt your head down at the right angle or tuck in altogether. I'm familiar with the Telico area. My brother and I road the Skyway and the Dragon last year and I'm quite familiar with "the mountain" you speak of. Huge temperature change from the bottom and top.
