Hi, I have a '17 model, with an Akra slip on (cat still on, don't want to get rid of it).
I'm thinking of doing a tune, the main reason not being more HP, but better on / off throttle feel and getting rid of any flat spots.
1. What should I look out for, what parameters can I tell the tuner to change?
2. Should I remove the restrictions on wide open throttle?
3. Does the mpg go down after a tune? I could do with it being slightly worse, but not something like 15-20%.
I don't want a blown motor or 200 hp, as the bike is fast enough, just a better overall feel.
Cheers!

If you are in the states, send it to 2WDW. Not going to blow your motor. I'm getting 32mpg spirited riding, 36mpg spirited highway driving.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I'm in Europe.

IMO it will be the best thing you could do to the bike. Doing with cat tune isn’t going to change the MPG much if any but will smooth out you throttle to not be so jerky. You may gain a few horse but nothing like the decat tune. Just advise the tuner you use, the exact setup on your bike (Akra) and they will go from there. If Woolich is anything like 2WDW they will set it up correctly. Give them a call and chat with them about it to set ur mind at ease.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I'm in Europe. I have done Woolich Tuning on my Yamaha R1M (outside USA), (earlier it was running too lean - tuned Power mode 1). They will send logging device (LogBox-V3 or similar for MT-10) when you purchase proper kit with Zeitronix ZT-3. Some modification on link pipe or exhaust pipe will be required to installed Bosch O2 sensor from Zeitronix to communicate with Woolich LogBox. With Bin Key, you can send them log file or autotune the ECU. If you are not looking for 200HP or blasting your motor, dyno run is also not required. LogBox record real time data while you are riding.
