Hi everyone. This is a post that I’ve dreaded writing and more importantly hoped I’d never have to. My very good friend and riding buddy passed away last month. He’d had heart issues and needed a transplant, the operation was not successful. He and I talked a lot about what to do with his bikes if anything should happen to him and that I would be tasked with selling them for his wife/widow. He may have been a member here, his name is Jason (Jay) and he lived in New Brunswick, Canada. I would like to get as much background on his bike that I can from the group. It’s a 2012 FZ10 but he had tons of mods so that’s where it gets tricky. To name a few… Öhlins shock Öhlins fork inserts Brembo brakes incl lever Rear sets (not sure brand) Rizoma Risers Rizoma Bars Rizoma Mirrors Yamaha Saddle bags Sargent seat Etc etc. His wishes were that I remove all the aftermarket parts and sell them separately. It’s all new as most of the mods were done over last winter and we never got out riding this year.
Sorry for such a long winded and less than joyful first post. I ride a Kawasaki ZRX1200R so I’m familiar with pricing and mods for those bikes but the FZ/MT world is new to me.
Thank you, Mike

Hey Mike,
very sorry for your loss. You are very much welcome to post up whatever you like on this board for sale in the For Sale section. Just note the forum rules which include posting pictures, having a clear price, and location or at least shipping cost information.
Now, the other issue is that the FZ10 models didn't start until 2017 (2016 in Europe). A 2012 is actually an FZ-1 and they are actually different bikes. So you may have some better luck attempting to sell the bike on a dedicated FZ-1 Forum. The bike definitely has some good upgrades on it, especially for someone who wants to track it or rides canyons.
good luck with the sale and wish you the best through this tough time.

Thanks very much for the welcome and info regarding the FZ-1 vs FZ10. Clearly I need to brush up on my FZ knowledge. I will join that forums s well.

Hi sorry for the loss of your friend. As the other guy said a 2012 is a 2nd generation FZ1. You might post it on the www.fz1oa.com/ as that is where the 1st & 2nd generation FZ1 guys/gals hang out. I'm on both forms since I have a 2001 FZ1 and a 2017 FZ10 both great bikes btw
