WTF?
Is this an ad for a school?
All I really got out of this was blah, blah, blah, remove the CAT, get a tune, the end.

You all obviously missed the most crucial part some mt10s from the factory come with faulty clutch steel ring that sits behind the clutch center that is to thick causing the clutch to generate immense amounts of heat that is transferred to the crank causing bearing failure. The entire reason why so many mt10 motors are blowing up. Exact reason why mine detonated. The shop that rebuilt my motor has already rebuilt 4 mt10s for this issue.

Oh wow, to be honest I had not heard about MT-10's having that kind of widespread issue from the factory.
Is it limited to specific year models?

I wonder if that's why mine sometimes has a really notchy clutch when I try to let it out from a stop when cold. To the point where it sometimes stalls because it seems to catch and grab instead of slip. It doesn't happen all the time and only does it when cold. I'm at about 7600 miles on my 2019 right now.

Does you bike ever smell extremely hot even when your coolant temp doesn’t seem that high like maybe the smell of burning wire coatings or just hot metallic smell especially after riding around town where you use your clutch the most?

I have a 2020 and notice my bike runs much hotter than my wife’s R1. I don’t notice any smell of burnt stuff.

Nope, nothing out of the normal smell-wise. Oil never smells bad when changing it either. R1 has much more radiator area than the MT does so that helps The 2015 and up R1 and the FZ/MT-10 have the exact same size radiator, the only physical difference is the positioning of the cap (one is straight, the other slightly angled).
This is also why the same aftermarket radiator guards fit both models.
As for the video, I'm calling BS. The clutch plates would fail before any excess heat would be "transferred to the crankshaft." This is the very first time I've ever heard of this, and it's never been mentioned in any MT owner's group I've been in.

The wife has a 2009 R1 and always runs a bit cooler than my MT. Maybe because of the taller final gearing keeping the revs a bit lower? I think the bodywork on the R1 also helps keeps airflow into the radiator as well.
