Bought a 2019 MT-10 yesterday, has a FZ comfort seat on it. There's nothing wrong with it but I was curious if the newer MT comfort seats were any kind of real improvement over FZ. This is also my first 'sport' bike so I can't compare it to anything I used to sit on.. goldwings and a v1k.

No they are all the exact same. Comfort seat should be decently comfortable though.
Did you still get the stock seat with it too?

I thought the comfort seat was a significant improvement over the stock seat. The stock seat was very rough to ride around on.
Only issue with the comfort seats is that they seem to have an issue with accelerated wear around the front of the seat that touches the gas tank. I have a thread about how to mitigate the issue. Not sure if the issue has been fixed with newer MT-10 seats but it was prominent on the FZ-10 seats.

It is absolutely night and day compared to the stock seat. I test rode one with a stock seat and it was like sitting on a bucket, I hated it. I'm able to go for about 3hrs before I get any fatigue on my cheeks with the comfort seat though. I could ride a good 5 or 6 on my Versys before I needed to stand for comparison.

Believe they changed the comfort seat for 2022. The part finder doesn’t say it fits older models, but it does. I have no idea what the difference is between the new seat and previous versions. I know it is a much better seat for sure than stock and worth the prices paid IMO.

Solid bike all around. It's much more stable through twisties and especially long sweeping turns than my Versys. PO had some crazy loud SC Project exhaust that I could only find on ebay and a Moore Mafia tune(very smooth running but the volume is unbearable) so I'm waiting on exhaust parts to come in and my ECU to come back to me to ride it again. Went with a Leo Vince link, a stock silencer, and 2wdw flash.

The 2022 comfort seat will fit the older models, I have one on my 2019 MT. I believe the seat got a minor redesign for the 2022 model MT.
