So I have heard from a buddy that the stock end can on the FZ10 is made of titanium… can anyone confirm or deny this?

The new 2022+ Have full titanium exhaust. I don't think the older models have the titanium exhaust but I'm not sure if the end cans are made of.

I am pretty sure the muffler is titanium. This is from the 2021 model(should be the same for all prior).
Lightweight Exhaust System The MT-10‘s stainless steel and titanium exhaust system features a compact midship exhaust chamber for mass centralization and excellent handling. The exhaust flow is regulated by Yamaha’s Exhaust Ultimate Power valve (EXUP®) system to provide optimal exhaust back-pressure across the entire rpm range, further improving efficiency.

Yes, the FZ/MT-10 up through 2021 (SP included) have stainless headers/cat and a titanium muffler can.

2022 end can has titanium components. I am guessing the internals are Ti but the body looks and feels like Aluminum.

I kept my stock can with a link pipe specifically because its titanium. Could not swallow throwing such a high quality piece to the parts bin.

I just picked up a '18 mt10 and had it flashed leaving the exhaust stone stock, flapper valve and all!. Believe it or not, results were/are amazing. I know you lose like 20+ lbs by yanking that heinous cat off by I'm in a situation where I need to keep it as quiet as possible. Stock can with a cat delete sounds awesome, but it's loud! Will use stock can even when/if I do a cat delete. Flashed by David at Vcyclenut
