Does anyone know what paint the bottom portion of the front forks uses? I accidentally scuffed one side up a little using a cheap front stand ( STUPID! ) and I'm just not sure what options I have to fix it without spending a fortune literally replacing the entire thing. Is this even something that can be touched up? Photo of damage: Edit: I just bought a Pitbull triple tree stand. Hindsight is 20/20 I suppose lol.

You might be able to touch it up with a sharpie or some matte model paint. Also did you get the correct stem pin for the Pit Bull stand?

Ok, yeah that's what I figured. thought about sharpie, maybe I'll try it haha. Also, I believe so. I picked the one listed on the Pit-Bull site for the MT-10. #36. I got this stand and this pin.

+1 on the sharpie. Always works well for me for minor touch ups in places that aren't very noticeable.

I was thinking about maybe getting some carbon fork protectors (like these) but they are kind of pricey and I'm a bit worried that they would be tacky looking lol. I wish they came in matte twill to match the other carbon accents I've installed as well as the matte feel that the forks already have.

You could always spray them with a matte finish clear coat as well

I just want to make sure I'm not just doing something dumb lol. Edit: I just realized the difference may be that I'm using a non pitbull rear stand lol. Damn, guess I have to buy the rear stand now too

Matte black spray paint. Spray a little on a piece of cardboard, use a small detail brush (art supply store) and touch it up. Easy.

I usually just put a soft rag on the fender
