41 on the gauge this morning. My hands were pretty numb but other than that not too bad.

50 degrees on yesterday's ride. Had on leather chaps, neck warmer and heated gloves. This dude cranks up next to me revving the engine and then blasts off through a school zone that just let out with kids all over the place. His attire - tee shirt, shorts and sandals. Squid or what?

If there isn't enough ice/snow on the road to keep me from picking my way through it to work, i will ride all the way down to freezing or slightly below freezing temps. The bike is my only transportation and has been for the last three years in good ol rainy & cold Washington. Admittedly, i am a little more sketched out doing this with the 10. Wasn't too worried about it with the 9.

Wow. My buddy does that here in Phoenix but I'm too sissy to give up the car. If it's raining or colder than 50 I'm in the car. Today I rode to break in my new tire

Same here, but i "cheat" with heated gear. I store the bike for the winter on December 15,because after that date it's required by law that all road vehicles are equipped with winter tires.

Haha there are defiantly times where i think i would much rather take a car, but i don't have one. And now after 3+ years of only having the bike, i almost feel more comfortable/at home on a bike than in a car, even in heavy rain or bad conditions. I did use heated grips for a while but took them off because i did not like how bulky they were and just never got anything else. My commute is only about 10-15min anyways so not bad.

I go about 40 miles one way to work. It's all highway so I have to buy Pilot road tires. 😏

Ya, I love the PR4 tires. Very confidence inspiring in poor conditions and they always seem to have plenty of grip. I have received some very concerned/puzzled looks from cagers when they are slowing down for standing water on the hwy and i blow through them like im riding a jetski. I run them in the winter/rainy season (so most of the year here ) and then the Q3 in the summer.

I'll trail ride in the 40's but that's as cold as I like to get. Street, if it's below 55 degrees I'm garage bound drinking beer and staring at my bike

It depends on sunshine. Sunny day and I'll ride starting at 50. In South TX that's cold for daytime.
The next question is how hot will you ride in, in gear? That's my summer issue.

Rode in the upper 50's last week. It wouldn't have been as bad if I had worn extra layers. Had to stop and get a long sleeve shirt over my short sleeve on under my mesh jacket. Chapped upped my nips a bit, but it wasn't too bad.

Wasn't too worried about it with the 9. I'm the same way, but it never snows in Savannah and rarely gets icy. Temps in the low 20's about 5 or 6 mornings per year. Usually above 50 during the day. I would like some heated gear though.

High 50's with sun. Any less and cold will always find it's way.

On my DR650, I rode in 17 degree weather last January. On the 10, I won't roll the dice lower than 35 until I learn the limits of my tires. Still running stock.

It's been almost a week of no riding and it's killing me!
