Replaced my battery last month and stayed local (Batteries Plus) just in case I ever have any issues that involve warranty/replacement.

I buy off brand batteries, haven't gotten amazing battery life out of OEM or household brand batteries so I've gambled on some lesser known brands to save a bucl and so far, no issues.
I check the reviews, see if people are reporting things like their bikes catching fire. In this instance where this battery has no reviews, check their other battery reviews for different models. Check Fakespot.com, see if they are reputable or buying Amazon reviews. See if they have an actual website with actual customer service. If you start to see stupid spelling or grammar mistakes, they are one of those chinesium companies and I'd stay away.

After 45 years of motorcycling I will only buy Yuasa batteries for my bikes. They are never the cheapest. I stick to the bike manufacturers recommended fitment exactly. I also use a CTEK battery tender/charger to keep my batteries in the best possible condition. I was taught these life lessons by the Italian motorcycles I’ve owned and over 25 years working in the motorcycle industry. Yuasa has been the OEM battery supplier to Yamaha for as long as I can remember. I know there are situations where weight savings are a priority or a custom battery box dictates the battery selection, my comments are for the motorcyclist looking to replace the stock battery in their beloved steed. My Yamahas spark into life so quickly I’ve barely got my thumb off the button when all cylinders have lit up!

I agree! i used Taiwan/China batteries on my R1M for few months...even though they were always on Optimate 4 battery tender/charger when bike is not in use, i was not getting peace of "mind". So went back and ordered OEM Yuasa at discounted price from Italy (Carpimoto)

Replaced my battery last month and stayed local (Batteries Plus) just in case I ever have any issues that involve warranty/replacement. I have used Batteries Plus in 2 bikes. Both failed at about 18 months. I have since moved to lithium batters in both my bikes. Jury is still out, but so far I am impressed. CCA is amazing! Bought Anti-Gravity batteries. Pricey, but well reviewed.

By today standards, unless you get a manufacture defect battery, it will all depend on the battery proper usage and charging/storage. When properly done it will last the expected lifespan of 3-4 years if not more. Proper charging system, on and off bike is vital.
