Been wanting to do this myself for awhile...just keep putting it off to tackle smaller, quicker projects. Now I think it will be my winter project and hope we can partner up in regards to info, which product(s) to use and so on. Looking forward to moving this forward and finally checking it off my list of to do items.
Lets GO!

I imagine they are custom jobs, meaning that the people fabricated the brackets or spacers needed to utilize the existing mounting points for various engine covers or engine parts. From there, it's just figuring out what length bolt you need and drilling and painting the fairing.
Certainly a project albeit shouldn't be a hard one if you can fabricate or can provide accurate measurements for fabrication.

Certainly a project albeit shouldn't be a hard one if you can fabricate or can provide accurate measurements for fabrication. No custom fabrication necessary. All you really need are the standard oem lower shield brackets from a 2015+ R1, available from any online oem parts site. You'll also need to tap the bracket mounting holes which already exist in the sides of the bike's oil pan. Pretty straightforward, really.

Oh cool!! Is that enough support for the fairing? Seems like the mounting points would be real low.

Oh cool!! Is that enough support for the fairing? Seems like the mounting points would be real low. Our crankcases are based on the R1's so the mounting points are identical...just about any aftermarket R1 bellypan is a direct fit on the FZ/MT, and the brackets provide sufficient support. I had the same question so I reached out to a member who did such an install and was assured that it works.
I have this mod in mind for a winter project.

Good to see some shared interest on this and hope this thread doesn't fade away. Would really love for "hooli's member friend" to jump in here and share some pix!

The big belly pan looks pretty stupid on these bikes IMO. The R1 tail looks nice though!

The big belly pan looks pretty stupid on these bikes IMO. Maybe. But for those who choose to race, the rules mandate some sort of bellypan that is able to catch any fluid leakage.
