Well, it's my first time experiencing one in almost 30 years of off and on riding. Wow, I can only imagine how awesome up and down quickshifting would be. Chalk up one more thing to like about my FZ.

Only an upshifter, pretty smooth. I'm pretty sure I have it adjusted right. Just takes getting used to.

I find the OEM quickshifter to be hit or miss. Sometimes it works flawlessly and buttery smooth. Other times it's jerky AF or even fails to work at all.
I'm seriously considering getting the Translogic up/down kit as I want an autoblipper anyways.

How was the install? Any tips or tricks? I was gifted one but still haven't installed it.

I have the translogic with auto blip on my FZ. It's not smooth compared to my CBR I have with the oem quick shifter. And Hondas oem allows up AND down quick shifts. Why can't Yamaha replicate this?!

Why can't Yamaha replicate this?! Yamaha introduced an autoblipper as standard equipment on the 2018 R1 and onwards. Unfortunately you cannot retrofit it to the FZ/MT-10.

I've been using the old throttle chop clutchless upshifting.
Been on the fence trying to decide if the quickshifter is worth it.

It's probably not worth $150, but when you're on the gas, it works well. I'm not sure I have it exactly at 271-273mm overall length though, so that might be part of it. It's an easy install. I did not remove the top shifter arm as per instructions, I removed the top "eyelet" bolt that separates the actual shifter vertical linkage that you're replacing from that upper shift arm.
