I always buy tires for my Sportbikes and MT-10 from U.S.A. This time Bridgestone Battlax S22 - 200/55 ZR 17 (78W) Tires are OUT OF STOCK everywhere!!
Any idea who can have these tires available? I have freight forwarder in Houston-Texas to ship them international for me, just matter of getting them...

Can't you ride on something else until they're back in stock?

190 55 17 is oem like above mentioned. I personally not sold on the battle ax that I've ran on my last 2 yamahas they came with. Tires for me are becoming a trial ride thing .
I replaced the battle ax on my 10 with michelin 2ct and have been very happy with grip I think even better the the Bridgestone and so far are lasting longer for around the same price. Getting ready to switch again to the pirelli angel gt to give them a try for even better milage with grip to be determined.
I'm glad I made the change to experience the different brands not limit situations your finding your self in. I'm not a knee dagger on the local roads but do get into the chicken strip on occasion. Best thing is do the research and try different brands and who knows you might be happier with something other then oem.

Sometimes you just have to call around places locally to see who has it in stock.

Just a correction on the 2ct it does not last longer then the battleax, I'm at 2600 mi just about to the wear bar down the middle vs 3700 on the Bridgestone so no wonder the grip was really good. The pirelli is on its way I'm curious on how that tires holds up compared to the others.

You sure you're not running on lower pressures? The stock Bridgestones come 36/42 cold pressures. A lot of people get their second set of tires and mechanics set the pressures in the low 30s usually. The tires definitely grip better at these pressures but accelerate tire wear, especially on a 1000. They should be getting pretty similar mileage and arguably, the Power 2CT should get a bit more in the middle given it's dual compound.
There's also 2 different Michelin 2CTs that people often get confused. There's Road and Power and a huge difference in mileage.

I run pressure at 36/42 and I check before every ride do to possible scalping these tires are prone to if not running at correct pressure.
These are power pilot 2ct that were recommended by sales at motorsport he said I should expect at least 6k out of them. Well so I know how that turned out and moving on to another type tire and see how that goes. I'm actually going to run the pirelli rear with the 2ct in front wich alot of people say not to do .
I have at least 50% left on the front so I'm going to run it out. And if they seem unstable or scary together then I'll get the matching front Otherwise I'll just run the front out and replace when it's time..

That's pretty crazy that you're not getting that much mileage out of them. That's what I would expect, 5-6k
Which Pirelli are you going to run?

I ordered the pirelli angel gt sport touring and not the newer gt2 I could get it before this weekends ride but I'm going to squeeze out the last few hundred miles out of the 2ct Palomar to Julian.
36 in the rear might have helped with the wear down the middle makes sense I'm kinda use to the pressure I'm running and I never had the 2ct break traction unless on decel hard braking coming into a turn.

I got ~7500Kms on battlax RS10 (Stock) came on R1M. Now its time change both on number of years and wear. I am also running 36frnt/42rear on my OEM Battlax MT-10 S21s... not even Kms to determine wear on these..

No reason to run a 200, just sacrifice handling. I generally trust the manufacturer on what to put in the bike, they designed and built it, I think they probably know best.
