Austin Racing Exhaust + R1 Cat for extra sound

So, I had an AR slip on for the MT10 for a while.  All was good, but always wanted more volume.  The exhaust is well made and the sound has great low and mid sound byte.

Wanting more volume, I didn't want to go for the crazy expensive link pipes which are readily available from a variety of manufacturers, and went for the cheapie Aliexpress one.  When it came, surprisingly, everything fit perfectly, and it sounded AWESOME!  BUT... unfortunately, the volume was pretty obnoxious.  Great for a hooligan ripping up the streets, but didn't quite fit my personality.

This left me switching back to the stock cat, and still wanting more volume.  Did some research and found out the R1 cat would work with my set up (since my exhaust does not use the OEM hangar).  So, got the R1 cat and installed it.  As previous members have mentioned, the heat shield does not fit as there are some interferences with the rearsets.  Armed with my trusty rubber mallet, I went to work.  Finally got everything to line up and took her out for a spin.

The sound is roughly 10% louder, and exactly what I wanted.  The sound now, has the same low and mids, but also now has a raspiness that I was missing from my old R6 with the Jardine exhaust.  I LIKE IT!  I think this will keep me quite happy now.
