Mt10 piston and piston connecting rod can change R1 forging piston parts? Is the R1 engine the same as the MT10 engine?

From what I've read the connecting rods and camshafts are different as well as the cylinder head porting. I don't remember seeing anything about the pistons being different but they very well may be.
The MT-10 has 12:1 compression where the R1 has 13:1 so I'm sure the pistons are different as the bore and stroke are the same between the two at 79x50.9mm.
