Wasn't aware of this forum. Bought a new FZ-10 recently, and only have 97 miles on the clock. I want to remedy that on the Hill Country. I'm going to try to make it next week, possibly leaving Tuesday (Oct 30) or Wednesday from El Paso, TX (550 miles away), before weather turns to crap and have to wait until next year. Will hit up Evitzee, who lives in Fredericksburg, but let's see who else would like to hook up for a ride. I plan to drive my F-150 and trailer the bike on a U-haul trailer, since I don't have all the crap I need to haul it in the bed yet. I'd stay in Kerrville, so open to suggestions for a safe place to leave truck and trailer (and bike at night too). Last time I went on a bike was like a decade ago, and only the YO was the only game in town. Now I see a lot more, so it shouldn't be an issue. I'd like to hit up the usual suspects (337, 336 and 335) the first day, but I'm open to suggestions for a day or two more there. I never made it to the sweepers on 55, but it was too far away, and would have to travel thru 337 again, but if it's worth it, I'd be up for it. Is it? I don't remember which routes I took, but wouldn't mind riding all that area again. Also went thru a loop thru Boerne, Sistedale, Fredericksburg, and Kerrville that wasn't that nice, but I'm sure there're other nicer roads around. Hopefully this won't fall on deaf ears. He he. Have a good one brothers. JC

So you did the twisted sisters and didn't like it? Every Rider I know loves that loop! That's probably the ride I miss most since I left Texas. Probably wouldn't like riding here in the mountains near Ruidoso and Cloudcroft either. Enjoy the El Paso flat lands.
