This is the version that is larger than the CL-1060-S and when expanded can hold a helmet. It is available for $116 from Amazon on Prime. (all major bike vendors carry this) Fits the tail of the FZ-10 very well and can be easily mounted without showing the straps. This gives is a OEM look. Dimensions: 14"L x 12"W x 9"H Standard / 14"L x 12"W x 12"H Expanded, holding 24.78 Liters / 33.04 Liters expanded. Includes a removable waterproof rain cover that is expandable as well. Construction: UV treated 1680D Ballistic Nylon with Fibertech faux carbon fiber panels and reflective piping. Stitching is solid and there where no strings. Zippers are solid and do not catch material when zipped. Thy are also lockable with a user provided lock. Mounting is very easy. The d-rings are metal and the quick disconnect hooks are positive locking and made out of a high density nylon. I mounted to metal frame parts (I have rear pegs removed), but it could be mounted under the seat using a metal center ring method. Un-mounting the bag would take minutes. There is a built in carry handle as well as an included strap. Nothing on the bag or the mounting will cause any damage to the bike's finish under normal use. The bag sits even with my back when mounted even with the seat strap. My back can use it as a rest if I lean back. You do have to lift your leg higher to get over the bag, but it is not an issue for me. Expanded I think it would be harder. The way I mounted the bag is solid with no movement. The interior is VERY LARGE (see photos) and would accommodate a wealth of crap or an extra day of clothes. It would hold a MacBook Air or similar small laptop. The top dome has a zipper meshed pocket and there is a removable velcro center divider. Over all I am initially impressed with the bag. Time will tell how it holds up, but the reviews of Nelson Rigg products is positive. It has a lifetime no hassle warranty. You could easily add the small Nelson Ring saddle bags for light touring. I recommend this bag or the smaller 1060-S for anyone wanting a tail bag for extra storage. Exterior: Interior: (water bottle, rain cover, flash light, mechanic gloves, iPad, tire repair kit, AND plenty of room left) Mounting:

I nearly went for the smaller 1060 one but I went with a tank bag first. I was in need of something to put my lunch in when I go to work. And since I work at a school with teenagers from 12-17, the bag had to be remove and put back easily (less than a min) each time I commute with the bike. To me, it had to be faster then releasing strap from peg and from under the seat. But, I'll probably get a tail bag too for the time I go on few days trip with the -10. Great review and thanks for the pics!

I got the smaller 1060 S version today It IS really nice and well built. one word of warning I wanted to be able to carry my small lunch box that measures seven inches high. the crown of the seat comes up into the bottom of the bag and I was barely able to close the bag in the expanded position

I put my helmet in it and I didn't have an issue zipping it in the expansion position. I'm going to play with fabricating a seat brace that goes underneath it to keep it level without any sagging.

Just adding my 2cents. I purchased the Nelson Rigg CL-1060-S bag for my FZ10 as well. I like that it doesn't extend over the rear tail light. One trick that I did was to use zip ties to secure the bag in place so it doesn't slide around. See below.

I like that setup. Guess I’ll be investing in one soon
