One thing about the comfort seat is the front corners wearing holes witch turned me off on them not to be a Debbie but research a little just saying .
I've been around the block about a seat mine kills me even with padded bicycle shorts , I have know idea why but I burn after 30 min or so even in my depends padded shorts. I'm looking at the seat concepts but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Look up the thread on here maybe some helpful info or spin you different ways where I'm at this point.

I made a thread about this and a possible solution that's extremely simple and doesn't cost anything as long as you got extra rubber grommets with the new seat. It was a while ago and seems to have worked. I haven't had any progression of the wear. Search threads by my username and you'll find it.

My hands are in the air about the seats , I really really don't like mine the only thing besides the small tank that I have a problem with especially after tune but the seat is still on top of top of the list . I could have bought one for a 100 bucks along with the guys bike but that did not work out and don't see me spend 400 on a little bit better seat. I'm looking for 100 percent better then stock .

I have a Genuine Yamaha Comfort seat that came NEW with bike.
Bike is now for sale and will come with stock seat. (see classifieds for Yamaha racing blue edition with < 2,000 miles)
Comfort seat available--like NEW.
Would take $325 plus shipping.

Can confirm that www.padgettsmotorcycles.com/product/genuine-yamaha-mt-10-sp-comfort-seat/ is a great place to get a comfort seat if you cant find one in stock anywhere else. I recently bought an MT10 and my dealer along with all the other local dealers said they did not know when they would get the comfort seat in stock so I looked online and ordered from Padgett's, Received mine in 5 days (I live in the states).

Spend the money if you can and get the Sargent. I've tried them all and Sargent is by far the best seat. The comfort seat and seat concepts is only marginally more comfortable. Sargent is truly an all day seat.

So far from I can see with seats options on this forum there is no hands down winner it seems. They all have a flaw of some sort with reusing stock pan or just expensive for what you get . Myself I'm out about 20 bucks in padded underwear that work great until I can find a truly better option worth the money ...

The stock seat is truly garbage, now is it worth $300 for me yeah but honestly it would be nicer around the $200 mark but as far as comfort goes you can sit on it WAY longer without feeling fatigue unlike the stock POS they threw on there.

Went for a short ride today on the new seat for the dealer recall and SC seat felt good a little wider then stock. I will need to put some time on it before I can give a actual how I like it seat of the pants opinion.
The one thing it seems I slide more on it then stock this has the carbon fiber fabric so I'm not used to that and not sure if previous owner had some condioner on it could amplify that. I may take some soap and water to it incase there some on it . I'm in the like to stick to my seat camp as far as that goes other then that very happy with it ...

Ok so my verdict is after around 250 miles today is my ass hurt more then the stock seat does with my padded undies did. Maybe I just have that old man ass I guess but it had to be said . I slide around alot more on this seat then I did with the oem.
It could break in I more I guess I'll give it another ride to be sure about that. And this is no means a negative to the member or hard feelings what's so ever just to be clear I knew this seat process was going to take time to get through and every body's ass I'd different and not at all un happy with trying to get where I would like to be just so I'm clear on that .
If anyone wants to trade a comfirt seat for a SC hit me up . It's a solid seat and I will give it some more time before I put the oem back on. I just think it's naybe a little to firm for my 52 year ass cheeks.

Oh and also I just want to say I freaking love this bike , it's just simply put amazing on how hard it pulls my arms out of my sockets .
Instead of a seat I need a sissy bar just to keep me sliding off the back of the bike and stretching my arms out . I've never riddin a R1 but have smoked a few dragging and have never been taking by anything so far . My hats off to 2WD for my rocketship.
