In the rebuilding stage of a 2019 MT-10. I need to replace the brake lines. I can use OEM....but I would like to see what you guys may have upgraded too? I am looking at Spiegler Stainless Braided brake lines but I can't find any good or negative info on them.
Any suggestions?

Hi cadezigns1 I am planning to replace my brake line currently OEM rubber kind to Stainless Braided brake lines on MT10 (after factory warranty ends in couple of months). My R1M stock front is stainless braided brake line far superior and powerful braking... This video might be helpful (Stoltec Moto Spiegler MT-10 Stainless Steel Brake Line Install): Tip: its also worth to change brake pads front and rare to Brembo on MT10. Replacement/Installation is very easy. Immediate difference in biting power is observed with Brembos... Front Brembo Racing: BB-15HH; Part: 07YA23SR Qty: 2 Rare Brembo: BB-9GG; Part: 07HO36SP www.carpimoto.it/en-US/Bike_Yamaha_MT-10/Brand_Brembo/47926_07YA23SR-Brake-Pads-Brembo-07YA23SR-Sintered-Racing-1-couple-for-1-disk-for-Yamaha.htm

I did the R1 master cylinder upgrade. You should consider it if you're going to do the lines. You can get one relatively cheap (I got mine under $100 with the reservoir)
Some said stock length will work but I got a few extra inches since the banjo bolt connects a little further away than the stock master. You'll also have to figure out how to mount the reservoir. Obviously brembo has a kit but I went with a ladybird mount. I also had to file down the brake switch slightly as it was coming on a bit delayed.
I have spiegler on the FZ10 but I think I felt the coremoto on my last track bike were a little better. At least as far as I perceived the quality. Performance seems exactly the same though and I imagine there's not much to be gained or lost between the different brands.
As far as brake pads, I absolutely swear by SBS brake pads.

I was planning on getting that one as well. But do you have to get a new lever? Just seems odd they specifically say you have to get your own.

You'll have to either order the OEM R1 lever or get a set here: stoltecmoto.com/shop/yamaha/fz-10/17-fz-10-asv-f3-adjustable-unbreakable-levers/Under "Lever Selection" they have listings for a set of both levers, shorty or standard, for either stock or R1 master cylinder.

Dang, just got ASR levers and don't really want to replace it already.

Dual lines direct from front MC to calipers, left side measured 35", right side 32" The rear line was 24". Bear in mind that these didn't include the end fitting lengths.
