I can see the struggle. Coming home from the dealership, brand new bike, standard mode, #2 TCS, 60mph. Went to pass a car, wheel bouncing commenced.

It's so easy it's harder not to.

OK, so here's my struggle. Either I'm being a total wuss or I'm too fat. Trac @ 2 and in A mode... I can launch like a rocket, yet not wheelie... I have however put this beast up in 2nd by thwacking the throttle, I may have poo'd a little. I didn't realize I was in second and it was my first week into the bike (I was looking to dominate a ZX-6R). Recently, I've had some opportunities over some long trips on some long non-populated roads. I usually try to matte it around 40-45 mph 4-6k RPMs, but no lift. I once felt brave enough to try a clutch-up, but it scared the f*ck outta me and felt rough. Do I need to lean/pull waay back or am I just too fat at 220 lbs (6'2")?

The other thing to know is the mapping of the throttle. Full opening won't happen below 8k rpms, so watch out for that. Early on with mine, I cracked it hard at 40 mph in 4th gear. At 90 mph, it hit 8k rpms and the front wheel popped up a foot or more and kept rising until I backed off. That rpm comes up really fast in first or second, so be ready when it does. In those gears, your wheel may already be up. An unexpected jump to full throttle could produce a very unpleasant situation.

Have you had your ecu flashed yet or are you stock? The scary thing is, the US FZ-10 has been detuned to around 133 hp. Get it flashed and your up over 150 hp like the MT-10's that the rest of the world has.

Mine's stock which definitely won' t go full throttle below 8k. One of our resident experts on this is Nick Stolten from StoltecMoto.

When riding this bike in B mode, I get the same feeling as when I'm about to jump out of a plane. It's scary as hell in all the right ways.

Had the opportunity to hit triple digits today. A lot of wind resistance even tucked. It was stable though.

Cheers! We have 6" of snow down and 6" more arriving on Friday. Triple digits are going to have to wait a bit for me. Been there already, but looking foward to the next time.

I had really contemplated whether or not I should post my top speed in the other thread, I decided not to to keep things safe for the inexperienced one-uppers that may not have high speed experience. Can confirm LOTS of wind in the triple digits unless massive full compact tuck the higher you get, but the bike is incredibly solid/stable all the way up. I tried 3 seating positions standard up, tucked, fully compact tuck. When I mean fully compact tuck, I mean chest on tank eating the dash display tuck. You literally feel no wind resistance on the helm with less on your shoulders and arms.

I guess it is a bit different for you Muricans using MPH. In Canada, you hit triple digits almost right away at 100+KMH

Other than the internet videos of top end, I know I could easily do 140 on it.
