Just picked up my 2018 MT10 with 3k on the clock yesterday. Loving it so far with one exception. Doing a 60 mph hard throttle roll initially creates this noticable vibration through the bike till the rpms climb. Just asking if this in normal considering the cross-plane crank engine. Came from a Suzuki GSX motor which was silky smooth throughout.

Well, when mine was stock it didn't have any off idle shudder before the revs picked up. But it definitely does since I have had it flashed. Almost like the bike is lugging while being in to high a gear and low a speed in 1st. Then it takes off like a bat out of hell. Do you know if yours has been flashed? Since I had mine flashed and the rev ranged pushed out to 12.5k it feels luggy coming of idle in 1st. I just add a few revs now and don't notice it much now. Also, the clutch is a bit strange on these bikes with a really short pull (compared to my 3 other Kawi's anyway). Sometimes if im being lazy off idle and don't release it properly it feels like it wants to stall but the pull is so short a minor adjustment will put it back in the engagement zone to stop the stall with a minor shudder. I dont know of this helps but it may get you down the road to troubleshoot it.

I have a missing type vibration below 2000 or so rpms on initial acceleration. Decatted , AIS block offs, 2WDW tune. Wondering if it's crossplane crank related. It definitely has character like a V4/V2.

I recently picked up a 2021, currently have 800 miles on it and it does that consistently in high gear-low rev full-throttle acceleration. Id say just downshift if it give you nerves

I'm experiencing it every time I take off until I pass about 2k.

These engines hate being lugged. I always keep my revs above 3k which is kind of annoying around town with my Yosh 3/4 exhaust but it keeps the bike happy. you do get used to it.

Thanks for all the input. Yes my bike is ecu flashed. All of your comments sound exactly like what I'm experiencing. Im slowly getting use to this beast. It's so different than all my silky smooth inline 4s I've owned. Kinda twitchy and raw. Love it but not sure if its my thing. Time will tell.
