So, I've been lurking this forum for awhile now and thought I would take a minute to introduce myself and my bike.
I just rolled over 40 on my life odo and am a biological male. I have been riding for almost 20 years now. I grew up in So Cal watching the homeboys in my neighborhood rip on Ninjas and Gixxers so most of my early riding years were spent as a squid on a missile with minimal gear and the tach bouncing off the rev limiter. Hahaha, good times!
Most of my riding experience was gained in the north GA and east TN twisties in my 20's, so riding canyons and switchbacked mountain roads are where I feel most at home on a bike. Tail of the Dragon, the Snake, Blue Ridge hwy, and dahlonega were some of my favorite riding spots and where I learned to ride hard, but safe.
I currently live in Central MN and mostly commute and ride by myself on the few "decent" roads in the area. I, generally, have moved away from squid life and am 99% of the time an ATGATT guy who likes aggressive riding that doesn't put anybodies life in danger but my own. But exceptions are made as the mood takes me.
I am the proud papa of a 2017 FZ10 with only 4600 mi on it. My 1st non-Kawi bike! This was a big break from my value system to switch brands. I have had a Ninja 650r, a 2008 Ninja Zx6r, and 2003 Z1000...and now our Crossplane ripper! So far. I have not been disappointed in my switch to Yamaha.
Anyhow, off to work this morning, but ill post up pics or a thread of my FZ with its modded condition pre-me, and since I've had it. Thanks for all the useful info you all have contributed to this forum. Hoping to add some value myself. Have a great day everyone!

Welcome and congrats!
Glad you are enjoying your Yamaha.
I've owned Kawasaki in the past and they are a fine bike but they just dont have the personality of a Yamaha.

Thanks for the welcome! Yep, love my Kawi's, especially loved my Zx6r. I thought it had tons of character with its induction growl and 2 stoke like power band. For a 600 that thing just roared to life from 9k-14.5 and became a whole other bike.
But compared to our CP4's sound and the styling i can see how they could seem run of the mill. Personally, I prefer the traditional inline 4 sound with a full exhaust over all others.
