Hiya Fellas, 2020 Black edition. 1mi on it from the showroom. Rode it out the door! I have managed 325mi so far. It was a 100mi just to get it back home. I absolutely love the way this bike handles. It has been years since I've owned a sport bike! Last bike was a '01 CBR929RR. An absolutely fantastic bike to ride, so easy to turn in and such smooth throttle response. I sold it in '07.
This MT10 is certainly a different feel ergonomically when just sitting and turning in casually. Like not coming off the bike much, just leaning in. However, this bike feels so much more planted once you attack a turn, on or off throttle.
Like I can finally feel the rear tire grip, whereas if riding more easily, the bike slices well but the feedback from the tire for me anyway is vague. It grips at good lean (I don't reach max lean on tire when just leaning through corners casually, albeit quickly. Only when I move around on it. When you are down on the bike and hanging low off the side, you can finally feel how this bike grips. When riding casually or staying centered, I find it harder, much harder to 'feel'the rear tire grip.
Oh but it grips! In attack mode this bike is awesome. When you move quickly and drop low off it you can feel the suspension load and really push that rear tire down and for some reason that's where I can feel this bike best.
It is super easy to handle either way but can really feel vague on the rear tire grip under my weight. I'm not light. I'm 5'8" 180lbs naked. Maybe I need to soften the compression a bit in the rear shock? I haven't touched it yet but again, just getting a feel at 300mi.
I will say, the front tire feel is very good. The steering is a bit front heavy but this allows me more confidence to roll more throttle sooner out of a turn. I can't wait to get more seat time and record some of my favorite canyon roads! I am so stoked for this riding season. It's here! A bit chilly here in north central Oregon but pretty fair weather considering. I'm ready for 75 degree asphalt! See what grip she really has for my skills. (Which are not amazing. I have never learned to drag a knee or wear full leathers but I am considering some real leather track pants with sliders to wear with my jacket.(I always just wear kevlar/dyneema reinforced jeans with pads). I have gone down in jeans and tennys before on my CBR. I slid 50ft probably, on my heels and helmet. No road rash but a sprained ankle and wrist! I was off the bike for three weeks. I am going to delete cat and slip-on but keep factory headers (cost)
I mean, yeah I want titanium full exhaust but not necessary. Well, maybe for weight? What do you guys think the factory steel headers weigh sans cat I know the cat weighs 12lbs! Watched some youtube vid recently. Would love to slap some aftermarket wheels on it too and really lose some more weight. Oh man, imagine how she'll run around a corner!
Oh, I can't freakin decide on a fender eliminator. None I've seen look mint to me. Just blaise. Wish there was a frame with a tiny integrated single diode LED that mounted deep under the tail with just enough angle to read well enough and lit up at night.
There seems to be plenty of space on the undertail of these to mount deep without any rub concern. Just gotta light it but, which seems easy. LED diodes are bright af these days. Those lights that come integrated with all the eliminator kits I see look big and ugly and unnecessary. Dang, I better stop myself there.

Welcome to the forum. The pictures/builds section definitely is a good source for seeing what others have done.

Not sure if you have checked out the kit from Yoshimura yet but they use a small led for the plate.

Not sure if you have checked out the kit from Yoshimura yet but they use a small led for the plate. I bought the Yosh one. Brackets were sturdy but quality was crap. 1400 miles and the paint was flaking off. I repainted it myself this winter. If it starts flaking again I'll powdercoat it next winter. Contacted them about warranty, they asked for receipt of purchase (naturally) and I couldn't remember where I got it. I checked Amazon, Sportbike Track Gear and RevZilla and didn't get it from any of them. Told the Yosh guy that and never heard another thing from him.

I've had the Yoshimura fender eliminator on my bike for at least 4 years and paint shows no degradation or flaking, you must just have been part of a bad batch. Improper surface prep and/or bad painting.

Improper surface prep and/or bad painting. Strange. It was flaking mostly off of the signal brackets. It was peeling off at every sharp edge so yea, bad prep is the likely culprit. I sandblasted all the parts, primed and then painted so we'lls ee how it holds up this year
