HELLO ALL, I HAVE ALLSTATE INSURANCE FOR MY VEHICLES AND MOTORCYCLES, I GOT QUOTES FROM GEICO AND PROGRESSIVE, BUT WERE A BIT HIGHER THAN ALLSTATE. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR RECOMMENDATIONS? INSURANCE IS OFF THE CHARTS...

Since insurance is location, rider age / driving record and cost of vehicle dependent I would use a internet insurance quote search tool to find the best option for your personal situation.

I have USAA for the cars. The bike is through Progressive. Everyone else was double for the FZ10. Progressive didn't have a box for the FZ10 yet so they quoted me on an FZ1.

$146 TOTAL for the whole year for 2 bikes with Progressive in Texas. Mature age, home ownership and clean record pays in the long run.

Dang! I feel your pain... sucks. where you from guywithfz10 From Vancouver, Canada. Insurance is through a company called ICBC and its a monopoly here so we have no choice.

I pay 300$/year for full full FULL coverage,if anything happens to the bike during the next 5 years the insurance will replace for a brand new one,and to top it off the insurance company includes a registration to a service called AirMedic, which is basically free air ambulance in case i get into a crash far away from any hospital and minutes count(i hope not to have to wright a review/trip report about that service one day lol).
Registration is 550$/year.

It does sound crazy, but here registrations is basically a "no-fault insurance". Insurances here are basically to cover material damages only,if we get physical injuries its the registration/insurance that takes charge of the injured, and depending on the injuries/disabilities it will cover you forever. The registration topic brings a lot of debate around here,i say its has its up and down. When i see our B-C friend here that pays 2600$/a year for insurance only, and that i pay 850$ total for both insurance and registration and that i get the best coverage one could get. Heck, even if let's say i low side and scratch my leather gear or rip my clothes ,the "registration/insurance" will replace it all for up to 1000$ worth.

I have insurance with Progressive (house, two cars, umbrella, and m/c), no claims, high credit rating, and over 60 years old. I carry liability (250/500/100), comprehensive ($500 ded) and roadside assistance. I was paying $99/year on my 2009 FZ1, just did the update for the new FZ-10 and the yearly rate went to $144. Not bad, I can live with that. This is for semi-rural Texas.
One thing that will really drive up the price is COLLISION insurance, if you hit or get hit by another vehicle. Depending on where you live and how you ride you may not need collision. I live in rural area and where I ride there are few cars so I am unlikely to hit another vehicle or get hit by one. Just something to keep in mind, look at your policy and you'll see how high the collision insurance is. Usually if the bike is financed you may be required to have collision. I finance through Yamaha Financing and it is treated as a credit card loan, no questions about insurance.

Wow. My bike is financed and my insurance through geico was 5700 a year. The cheapest I could find was with progressive and that's 3700... I'm 21 years old. Talk about ridiculous😫

If you feel that you're motorcycle insurance rates are too high, then you'll be happy to know that there are plenty of things you can do to lower your monthly premiums and get your insurance bill under control again. One way that you can reduce your motorcycle insurance rates is by downsizing your motorcycle from a cost as well as a performance standpoint. Motorcycles that have bigger engines and travel at a higher rate of speed are considered to be more risky. Another way that you can reduce motorcycle insurance rates is by opting for a higher deductible. There are also some other areas from where you can reduce you insurance cost, I got info from this reference, directinsurancenetwork.com/personal-insurance/motorcycle-insurance. Still looking for cheap motorcycle insurance? If possible get multiple quotes and do take help from the internet.
