I purchased the Yamaha quickshifter and have a question on its operation. My 10 is GP shift right now with the arm swapped 180 on the shift shaft. Will the Yamaha quickshifter still work in this configuration? Or will I have to swap the arm back, or drill a hole on the shift lever like the r1? Any clarification would be much appreciated, haven't found or seen a straight answer(well, actually have been told it will, and will not work). I know the yamaha quickshifter is not an auto blipper, does it still sense push and pull though?

I think i found my answer but not 100% sure. I had someone telling me that the Yamaha quickshifter worked with GP shift on the fz10 but i believe they were not reading the details (my bad for not checking sooner on my own..) Yamaha says it works with standard & GP shift on the R1, i believe due to being able to move the rod to the other ilet on the shift lever keeping the sensor as a push style sensor. It does say on the Yamaha site that the quickshifter only works with standard shift on the fz10. Will an R1/R1s shift lever fit on the 10 so that you can use the spot on the lever to drill a hole for GP shift? or, i have seen someone just drilled a spot in the fz10 lever...

I was wondering the same thing. It looks like you would have to drill a hole in the lever for it to work on the 10. I have seen this mod done on this forum or maybe it was a euro forum.

i just drilled and tapped mine to make it work. moved it to the shifter side of the pivot

What is the difference between the Push an pull on the quick shifter? i was looking at them online and they had both options. What would you use for the FZ 10?
