Hi all I only joined the MT10 SP world last week after trading a GSXR1000 L6 and now i've run into my first problem.
I came out of work and my battery was pretty flat ,seems the cold killed it , tried a couple of push starts but no good , then a work mate had jump leads and it fired up.
My problem is the engine light is now on and I can't change any settings through the controls ?
Will this rectify itself once my battery is fully charged and the bike run again to show it things are normal or will it need to be dealer reset ?
I ordered a lithium battery yesterday to prevent such a thing but it looks like my original battery beat me to it.

Just ordered a OBD2 scanner tool. Hopefully that'll sort it.

You might need to see the dealer unfortunately, not sure if the code reader can reset the bike's ECU or not. I'd also second-thinkt hat Li-Ion choice as those I've seen are much worse in cold weather than AGM batteries.

I'd also second-thinkt hat Li-Ion choice as those I've seen are much worse in cold weather than AGM batteries. I've had those on a few previous bikes. Found them to be fine on Gsxr's and Firebladesl. When it goes into the below 0's I'd just turn on everything which wakes the battery up and it fires up no problem.
