Hello ladies and gents, i have placed a deposit on a nearly new, ex-demo standard MT10 and expect delivery later this week.
I have part ex’d a 2020 Tracer 900GT, and whilst a fabulous bike, I want more oomph.
at the tender age of 56, I’ve had more bikes than clean socks, and have tried numerous bikes from almost all mainstream manufacturers.
As usual, I have raided eBay for my wish list of add ons and expect the delivery man to be on first name terms next week.
I have owned many of its competitors and look forward to the cross plane experience.
I still own a couple of "classic" bikes, but mainly for tinkering and rose tinted memories. I've been down the lightweight sports route, big fast sport tourer route etc but one of my favourite bikes has been an Aprilia tuono 1100. Great bike but very sketchy for her indoors on the back.
I'm hoping the MT10 will be just as exciting, but with the advantage of a top box and some real world practicality. Regular IOM TT visitor, been going since 1984. Been to every classic TT so far, and many Manx GP’s. We often go to the Island of dreams a couple of times a year between race meetings for unrestricted silliness and to see good friends established over many years.
We usually visit at least a half dozen MotoGP rounds annually, some riding, mainly fly.
As many BSB rounds as we can squeeze in between.
I have raced at club level and been fortunate enough to grab a few tokens of silverware along the way.
i chuffin love bikes.
Bring it on. Lol.

Welcome! The MT sure is a blast to ride and a lot of fun. The throttle can be twitchy at on/off but a tune should fix that. The torque on these things is just silly.

Hi I am 56 too and travelled from Aus to the TT in 2015 with 3 other couples. Crosby Leap is my favourite spot to watch the race (pub nearby - NB need to be on pub side for access). The Creg was good too.
