Hello folks,
One very happy new owner here.
Bought an 18 plate SP yesterday. Not many miles, remapped by BCS, comfort seat, screen and heated grips. It's 4c here and I'm old (well, 50) but the three short rides so far have been awesome. No wheelies yet but I'm fat so we'll see.
Have been riding 20 yrs. Busas, ZZRs, GS, K13 etc etc. Last bikes were an XJR, Hammer S and Triumoph Trophy. After the Trumpet literally seized up solid at 15mpn on a main to Perth and very, very did me in. I sold all three and swore off the two-wheeled life for good. Until I started youtubing SP videos :-)
So...much more to come I hope. I can see me really loving this gorgeous machine.

Ooh - when the guage starts flashing empty how much fuel is left? I put £15 in yesterday and 30 miles later it's flashing!!

Welcome! I'm pretty big as well and my bike has no problem lifting the front up by itself with a little too much twist of the grip.
Tank capacity is only 4.5 US gallons/17L. I can't seem to find any info on the "reserve" capacity. I always just fill up soon after it starts flashing. Does the SP start a "fuel trip" meter when it hits flashing? I know the standard version does which is nice - tells you how far you've gone since you hit the "reserve"

Certainly do know Whiteways cafe - will be there in the spring for sure
I went shopping yesterday (for about 40 miles) since it was 8c and
it was sooooo great to be out of the City for 30 mins. I had the fuel light flashing and fllled up only to see it had only been 70 miles since filling up. Will wait longer next time. Absolutely loving the SP. Tight, fast, tips in nicely - time to get brave with the TC off and get the end up :-)

Yeah biggest gripe with the bike is fuel consumption.
I only get about 100 miles from a tankful.
Will definitely be riding around whiteways,loomies,H cafe and other places when it warms up.
